Introduction
I know from experience how inferior it can be in some moments when your own staff team simply fails, for example because players are not dealt with appropriately. But even in the application process, it is always very difficult to make the right decisions. So what if there were a certificate system for staff members, with which they could prove their experience, professionalism and knowledge, so that (application) processes could be made more comfortable for both the applicant and the manager?
(I'm aware that this idea has been raised by a few people but never really caught on)
Main part
The certification would then probably run through a website. There you can take an online test to get the certificate. There would then probably be different online tests with associated certificates (moderator, developer, manager, ...). Alternatively, the online test could also be run via a course platform.
There should then also be a category on the website where the teaching content is conveyed (e.g. in the form of videos). In addition, there should be a portal where you can see all registered staff members and what certifications they have. You could also wrap this in an API.
Implementation
Since I myself have some experience in the field of development (Certificates), I could also implement certain parts myself, but a team of people would probably be significantly more here appropriate. I have already mentioned a few parts of the implementation (online courses via a course platform, instruction videos on the website and a portal to look up the certifications). In addition, an API would also be very helpful, since other people could then embed it into their programs (maybe even MC-Market?).
Financing
This part will probably prove to be the most difficult. I could check with my sponsor Instinctive Development/Network but they are a local startup and are more into their entrepreneurship right now. Also, I already get a few things sponsored by them, so it's doubtful they'll sponsor me any more. My budget is around $$$ and I'm sure I'll find a 16gb server somewhere. But you could also team up with already established servers. Another option would be to make some of the certificates paid.
What do you think of this (already known) idea?
