Hello Mc-Market,

Since a few months I moved in with my dad he started abusing me physically. Don't worry, no rape or something like that. But whenever I'm doing something that he doesn't like he just throws me in the air and starts punching me in my stomach etc. Is there anyone here that has some advice for me? I'm really scared to go to the police since I can't really leave the house or he'll notice it. I'm in need of some help, please. I am also currently 16 years old.

Thanks in advance,

~ Mat

Traveling at the age of 16 isn't something smart to do. This is a serious thread and I do not like to make jokes about it. If you're just going to trash this thread then please go away.

Play nice, suck up to him for now so he doesn't abuse you further. Then, whenever you get a chance tell an adult or someone you trust about it to help.
That's sort of a problem, he doesn't always hurt me when I do something wrong. If he doesn't like the way I eat my food he's just being pissed and minutes later he'll start abusing me again and again. This has been going on for a few months now.

I only see 2 options:
- Try getting him saying in message something which will be enough to go to the police
- Try not to bother/annoy him and wait for your chance to leave. If you can work to get money to be able to sustain your need when you will leave it would be good, also don't hesitate to ask for help on this plan. I (and I think most of us) will donate to help you

Lowkey if this is true, make a GoFundMe for a couple grand, and when you get that just run out at like the middle of the night, rent yourself an apartment, get a job, etc... and start making income and you should be fine by yourself.

Once you leave, and get some income for a while (I'd suggest doing what you're best at) and stockpile at least $10-25k try to become a citizen of the US, then take a plane over there and just make a life.

That's the problem about the Belgian law, you're not able to have video nor audio recording as proof. You can only have text (emails, texts, etc.)
so if you have a recording of someone commiting murder you can't show it to the police as proof?

posting this here wasn't a smart idea; if your dad is any bit intelligent he'll be monitoring your internet activity to ensure you're not doing exactly this. if you're seriously in danger, contact the police and let them intervene.
