My dad abuses me physically, what do I do?

Hello Mc-Market,

Since a few months I moved in with my dad he started abusing me physically. Don't worry, no rape or something like that. But whenever I'm doing something that he doesn't like he just throws me in the air and starts punching me in my stomach etc. Is there anyone here that has some advice for me? I'm really scared to go to the police since I can't really leave the house or he'll notice it. I'm in need of some help, please. I am also currently 16 years old.

I'm really sorry to hear you're going through such a difficult time and I really hope that this can be sorted out. However, in my eyes, I don't think McMarket is the best place to be asking for advice on this situation. I can see that a lot of people do care and are trying to help, however, I recommend checking out a few websites or forums to talk about the situation, I've been on two of them and they were really helpful.

Thanks a lot! As said before I'm being a suckup now so I don't get beaten anymore. I contacted my mom and I'll move in with her once my dad is away for a party or something and the rest is past since I don't really want to bother planning now. I just want to get out of this place.

My advice to you would be the following.

1 (a)Go to the local police station.
1 (b) Call the child protection services. (a Public institution for protecting children)
2. The medical center will determine your injuries if it falls under physical assault or physical discipline. (Yes it has to be determined if the parent overstretched their given authority to "Spank" children) in your case, it would be ruled assault.
3. The child protection services will work with authorities and issue an arrest warrant for your father where he would be charged with either.
3.1 Assult of minor
3.2 Child Abuse
4. Your father will be placed in court (Long proceedings) eventually convicted and sent to prison.
5. With all of this, you will be placed in an orphanage or foster home
6. Your father or mother would lose all custody of you and their parental rights. (Which means you can either be emancipated its known as you a minor being given adulthood by the court)
7. If your mother is in the picture she will be trained as an accomplice if she had done nothing to stop the abuse and allow it.

Unfortunately, there is nobody on this forum that can give you the advice you need, what you need to do is your own opinion based on your morality and personal experience. Above I listed the outcomes for both reporting and not reporting
