I would suggest paying a developer per job, it's a lot cheaper.

Paying for a full time dev is basically useless. Just pay one person to do all of your tasks.

If you want someone to contribute 40+ hours a week, you're going to need to pay very well. Minimum wage in the state of Georgia is 7.50$ an hour, which is low. Some urban places can double that, such as New York where the living expenses are higher. You would be paying around 500$ per week, and I honestly doubt anyone has the time for that.

I could do some of your plugin development if you would like, although I highly suggest paying anyone you hire per-job.
I have added a basic salary, for a full-stack developer. I am looking for someone skilled in not just making Minecraft Spigot plugins, but also experienced in dedi's and LinuxOS.

Regardless of job, you're not likely to find anybody on here who has the time and skill to put in 30 - 40 hours a week (That is literally a full time job position, as you mentioned) who actually has the open time to do so. Anybody with the time to do that would have to have either a small part-time job, or absolutely no job, and the other requirements (18+, the skills needed) would almost guaranteed be a college grad, and even if they weren't they'd need to have a way to support themselves by now. I also doubt that you have the work for them to be putting in 30-40 hours a week, regardless of if they have the time.
TL;DR: You likely aren't going to need a full-time developer in the literal sense, nor will you likely find somebody who has the skills to do so who isn't already a) working another job, b) in college, or c) under the age of 18 (a high school student *might* have enough skills and enough time for something like this)

While I agree that is normal practice in both the CS industry at large, and in professional servers, I don't get the impression that McM is the usual recruitment location for said servers. We don't have a ton of people who meet all of those requirements around here.
