Introduction:

Hi there! I’m glad to see that you’re looking into building for Pixelmon Andor. I realize that this application is you getting a grasp on what we’re about just as much as it is for us to gain some insight into you, so here’s the gist. We are an upcoming Pixelmon Reforged server attempting to create a unique open-world Pokemon journey. As of now, the goal is to have 10+ unique (and heavily themed) towns, along with a set of 8 gyms and the Elite 4. You can see some samples of our builds here.

What’s it going to be like working on this project, you wonder? Pretty laid back, actually! Upon joining the team you have no commitment to build a set number of hours a week. All I ask is that you don’t abuse this privilege to have a private server to play on without contributing. Other administrators and I are going to be relatively picky about quality, but will be far from unreasonable. All we want to do is create the best possible experience for players when it is released. If you want to apply but don’t have Pixelmon installed, don’t worry! I can help with that. Now onto the actual application!

I should have specified in my post, I do not have the ability to pay for anybody's services. I'm essentially a broke college student with a dream to make a Pixelmon server haha. I'll be sure to edit a disclaimer in to avoid any confusion. Thanks!

I have been posting my application on a variety of sites. When I stumbled across this one, I saw a community of mature builders that looked to perform professional work. As you said in one of your earlier posts there people here that are willing to do work for free, making this a viable location to receive potential candidates. I have posted on other sites such as the Minecraft forums and Planet Minecraft and have received little to no response. Most legitimate applications seem to be lost in the abundance of other people going "hey, join me. Tks bye" that give next to no information about their project.

If you could send me a link to more appropriate places to post my application, that would be greatly appreciated. I'm always looking for new places to find builders

I would have suggested PMC and the Minecraft Forums, but apparently you dont have a lot of luck there. Probably because you don't really stand out from the bazillion other projects that want free builders.
As for the people on here willing to work for free, don't expect any long-term commitments. 95% of the 'free' builders on here are only willing to build for free because they're beginners with no reputation and no portfolio.

If you want to get more builders, I would suggest thinking up what you can offer builders, not just what they should offer you, as well as what more you can do to stand out from the literal hundreds of free projects out there that are recruiting builders.

And lastly, I hope you're not expecting to turn a profit of any sort on this, right? Because if you are, I'm afraid I cannot respect you.

Quite frankly, aside from being professional there is very little I can do set myself apart from them. I can offer a quality environment and the potential to build friendships with other people on the team, but that's not exactly something you can sell easy. At this point in time, there's quite literally nothing I can offer aside from having a fun group to work with and an enjoyable experience. That's simply the nature of the project. If a builder were to come and go, that's okay. I'm grateful for any contribution someone is willing to make to this. I'd be more than willing to serve as a reference for them later on if needed.

To be honest, I entirely plan to monetize off of this once this server goes public. I cannot pay right now, but if it turns a profit then I will work to reimburse those who helped start it off as appropriate. There is absolutely zero promise of payment because if the server fails then there's nothing for me to offer. I would be fair about honoring people's contributions when time time came, however.
