G'day everyone on BuiltByBit!
I've been working on a huge project, one with beyond a lot of potential, something that I really believe in. It goes beyond Minecraft and I guess in a way brings players attention outwards to the real world. I'm not sure if any of you are super keen on wildlife and nature but I really believe that the next generation really needs to learn about it. Already half the seabirds in Australia have plastic in their stomachs. Humans have severely altered 75% of terrestrial environments and 66% of marine environments. Monitored freshwater populations have declined by an average of 83%. The point is, if kids don't learn about it, it'll only get worse. With an extremely large amount of the next generation playing the game we all love, that being Minecraft, the truth is, this project really can make a difference.
So the foundation of Wildstone will be a Minecraft Network that is able to offer a dynamic and educational gameplay experience focused on restoring ecosystems, protecting wildlife, and completing nature-themed quests. Players will be able to explore diverse biomes like forests, wetlands, and coral reefs, each with unique challenges and a health system that players must maintain through tasks such as reforestation and pollution clean up. They can choose and swap between roles like Wildlife Protector, Eco-Builder, or Environmental Scientist, and level up by completing quests, tackling daily challenges, and contributing to collaborative projects like building wildlife sanctuaries or combating server-wide environmental crises. Interactive NPCs that players will encounter on quests will provide engaging dialogue about real-world environmental issues, offering insights into problems like deforestation, climate change, and habitat loss while sharing compelling statistics to raise awareness. With interactive animals, real-world-inspired missions, and educational content, Wildstone blends creativity, community, and conservation into a unique Minecraft experience for the next generation.
Our mission is to inspire players of all ages to appreciate and protect the beauty of our planet by showing that gaming can be a powerful tool for education, empowerment, and real-world change. Through Wildstone, we aim to build a deeper understanding of environmental stewardship and sustainability by involving players in nature-themed challenges and interactive tasks. Beyond raising awareness, we are committed to making a tangible impact by donating a significant percentage of the server’s profits to charities and organisations dedicated to conservation and protecting ecosystems. By playing on Wildstone, every player becomes part of a larger mission to turn virtual creativity into meaningful action and support real-world efforts to safeguard our planet.
