Put accounts back

I think we should put the account section back. Its important and we STILL do trades over skype. I dont think why we should discourage it. Every account seller/buyer is still working. Just not on McM. We can make MCM much better.

As Ajdin said he would listen to the community, lets gather support for this!

I don't mind this. However, I do believe a post count should be added aswell as the rank requirement.
Maybe 200 or so. So someone can't just buy Premium and go scam instantly.

I completely agree with this, maybe also allow Active Members.

I'm not an OG seller or anything, but I have sold 4 semi-ogs so
but my opinion on this would be to allow this, like bebosny said, only for supreme's and premiums.

+1 As long as requirements are put into place alongside requirements to PM'ing meaning those creating alts can't just directly PM someone after creating a fresh account.

I think they should just be allowed like they used to be. If it's between nobody being able to sell them and just premiums/supremes being able to sell them, I'd prefer the latter, but I don't see why it can't just go back to the way it was. Yeah, if only donors could sell accounts it would reduce scams, but that's kind of just ignoring the problem. The problem is lots of people aren't smart about buying/selling and need to just be educated on the signs that give away scammers and need to learn how to do research on the people they're doing deals with. If this is idea is solely being made just to reduce scams I don't see why it would just be implemented in this section and not all sections.

The only real way to reduce scams is to just teach people how not to get scammed. Like nara said, buying/selling accounts is what attracted and attracts a lot of people to this site. I know personally I never would've stayed if only donors could sell accounts and I'm sure that's the case with so many people who are now prominent members of this community. I'm not trying to trash the idea or insult it, just giving my honest opinion ^_^

I see it as 3 options.

1. Only Premiums/Supremes will be able to post in the accounts section, everyone else will be able to only look at the threads and buy from the sellers.

2. It goes back to how it used to be, everyone can post/sell/buy, however scam reports filled on Accounts will not be accepted and will be explicitly stated in a popup above the account section.

3. Everything takes a turn around, everyone can sell/buy/post and scam reports filled on accounts will be handled like they would be on any other scam report.

I believe either 1 or 2 would be a better option unless you are open to letting a few more scammers in. Just my opinion.

Just because people buy premium or supreme here to look "reputable" as they've spent some amount of money paying for a rank on MC-Market, does not make them reputable to sell accounts... even if most scammers of these accounts are alts or new people with no reputation.

A scammer could "invest" buying premium for what is it like $15, (sorry I'm too lazy to look up price + I was gifted it) , and scam another person an "OG Account with TID" for $20+ .... that... doesn't seem reasonable.

I think scam reports shouldn't be supported for this, however when the user chargebacked or TID'd it back then it should.

Mojang doesn't actually browse our forum looking for accounts.
They most likely have an automated flagging system.

Next to that, anyone can say "I own the Notch account". They also can't rely on MClaim since it's a 3rd party service.

I like this idea, also maybe they would have to have a minimum of let's say 10 vouches from reputable members to be be approved to post in the section?

I don't understand this mindset. We have to support every kind of scam report. If the buyer is stupid and did a deal with someone shady who they obviously shouldn't have trusted, we have to support the scam report. If the seller is stupid and did a deal with someone shady, we have to support the scam report. If someone did a deal with someone who literally said they were going to scam, we have to support the scam report. If we don't, then the scammer is allowed to stay on the site and continue scamming. No matter how much you hate the people in a scam report or don't agree with the way they did business, staff needs to always support scam reports for no other reason than to get scammers off of the site.
