Remove HCaptcha

I don't know about others getting flagged for 'unusual network behavior' but I have to verify that I'm a human majority of the time accessing the site. Not sure if it's because I check stupidly frequently and have connected to the site using several ips since I'm in New York and there's wifi everywhere but I noticed this morning that HCapton is being used now and it gave me the world's hardest time picking pictures of a boat, birds, then umbrellas and wasted 10m of my life clicking pictures. Please revert back to the legacy check for being human or clear my account of being flagged for 'unusual network activity.' I, nor anyone else, should have a difficult time accessing the site.

I've never personally had an issue with this captcha, it just takes longer. I've yet to fail it so I get in in like 30 seconds. But the old one was like 10 seconds, no matter what I do, it always makes me select pictures

Maybe that's where I went wrong, I selected the right images like 10 times.

I'm going to add onto the issue. Some users don't get it, some do. But I'm to the point where about every thirty-minutes I am asked to solve the captcha. I can open MC-Market in a tab, solve the captcha, browse the site fine, and then refresh or go to a different thread, and be required to resolve. There is absolutely no reason I should be required to solve captcha this often. I don't care about the new captcha- that's fine. I care about the redundancy of it. CloudFlare might be in control of what captcha system is implemented onto this site, but your in control of the CloudFlare settings.

And I'm pretty sure MC-Market still operates on "Under Attack" mode at all-times, which probably doesn't help to the cause of being displayed captcha so redundantly.

This happened the exact same time for me with the old captcha? I would log on, get the captcha, talk in shoutbox for about 15 minutes, chat would freeze, I would send a message and "Security Error, please reload the page" would pop up. I'd have to solve another captcha.

I've personally gotten captcha less frequently than before, which is a blessing.

It was a decision on the part of Cloudflare.
So what really should be done is to allow regular members to be 'whitelisted', meaning we only need to complete a captcha once per 100 hits or so instead of every dozen.

That said Google are a bunch of greedy arseholes. reCaptcha is basically training google's Image Recognition AI systems for free. To then start charging for its use? Absurd.

I myself got tired of the constant captcha's however a way around this is just put a "privacy pass" extension from google store and you will no longer have to fill out the captcha's everytime you come on to this site.

They use cloudflare to protect the website. As they use this there is somethings that they can control and some they can not.

Cloudflare used to use an Older Captcha that used to get easily bypassed by bots etc. Now since Hcaptcha is there, it has made it more secure and more safer from bots.

They could use a different system I do agree about that but you have to think on there side on trying to provide this market 24/7 with no issues.

Your saying this as if its life threatening. Think about this.

a Website running with 100,000 users constantly and then you have script kiddies DDOSing and then you have Bots trying to flood bandwidth. They first want to provide a site that is secure and available 24/7

Plus this isn't something MCM Developers can fix. This is a cloudflare issue that they don't have control over.
Cloudflare now days are trying to control everything. Just like Apple and most companies are doing in there markets. The only way for them to stop this is to have a look at other systems what may be bad or not even work. Why change something when it works the way it does.

I mean really what are our expectations from an owner who logs into the site twice a month and a 16 year old sys admin managing a site with 200k+ users and 1500+ daily posts?

I hope we can come to a conclusion about this sooner than later. Yes, its annoying that I have to verify and it takes a little longer that's fine but on top of that I have to do it each time I access this site making it so tedious.
