This is posted on behalf of the MC-Market Cool Kids Club Community.

We (Cool kids), purchased Premium/Supreme in order to get rid of the advertisements, while supporting this site.

We come on, and we see this server management advertisement, which 90% of the whole market doesn't even need.

I've created a Poll for the community to vote.

Thanks.

You can literally block the ad with AdBlock like I've already have.

The only reason why MANY, I can say MANY people bought Premium is because they wanted the site to be Ad-Free. Verringer even promised a ton of members that it will always stay ad free. I'm not sure why it has to be straight smack on top of the shoutbox, why not just put it in the bottom of the site or on the side, where it says "ADVERTISEMENTS".
Myself and Doge are talking about the features that was supposedly going to be added when there was the xenforo "update".
Advertisements at the bottom of a site aren't that valuable, as you have to scroll down to the bottom to see them. Advertisements "smack on top of the shoutbox" can be seen right away and are above the fold, as it's called. That means it can be seen without scrolling. Above the fold is where you want the ads.

Thank you for this 'wonderful' Christmas present MCM :(
Just let me ask a question... I purchased premium to support mcm and remove ads ... now i need to purchase supreme to remove ads again? What will be next? After few months i'll have to spend some $35 again for next rank? You better should have raised prices for all those fancy things (name colours and ranks) instead of braking Veringer promises...i'm feeling disappointed...

Honestly, I don't think the site needs that ad up there. Mick wouldn't have bought the site if it wasn't making a profit. Now I'm expecting the 'as the site grows, we need more income' - which is true, but as the site grows more people purchase premium and more people look at/click on ads. On top of that, the site has also introduced Supreme which a lot of users have already purchased. When we bought Premium, we were promised an ad free experience. Sure, it says 'adsense free experience' now on the Premium page but I'm 99% sure that wasn't there prior. Ads on the side of the screen in that tiny bar were fine - I sometimes clicked on them as they were of interest, and all was fine. However this ad is visible on every page, and on top of that is bloody huge as well. I'm not honestly as annoyed by the fact that theres an ad there as I've already blocked it (and blocked the ads on the side of the page as well because of this), it's just the fact that I feel as though I've been cheated out of my money and I'm not the only one.

Yeah, people think that if premium doesn't have ads, it's not supporting mcm or whatever. It'll be fine if people with Premium are happy with their $10 purchase and the non-premiums get the ads. Ads barely attract the attention of premiums anyway because many paid not to see ads and they won't click them or buy whatever service.

Also, by promise I meant it's in the description of what comes with Premium, which is basically false advertising if we still see ads.

And for anyone thinking I'm making a big deal over ads, it's not that. It's the fact that part of premium is not having ads, and there's no reason to force ads on premiums if it was said they'd have no ads.

I want to purchase Supreme, but at the same time.. It's overpriced as fuck when thinking about how there is basically very very few features that Premium doesn't already have. This new ad thing almost made me just "fuck it, ill just get supreme." but then I realized Adblock could remove the ad too :D

I know the ad is gone for me now, but I think, for the sake of users below Supreme, just move the ad to the place where the rest of the ads are placed! How hard is that?

The reason its where it is is because it gets seen the most there - I'm not for ads (obviously), just saying why its not with the other ads.

Or simply, you can just right click the image and click block.[DOUBLEPOST=1449845839,1449845539][/DOUBLEPOST]Just to put this out there for the premium members:

Okay, we get that you are trying to receive revenue from the advertise it, but what made you rationalise that a pathetic advertisement for a system administration service should be fairly LARGE compared to the other advertisements you have on the bar made specifically for advertisements. You gain over $70/month per advertisement anyways. Instead of putting a banner like that on top of a shoutbox, blocking the view of the shoutbox, there is always the "ADVERTISEMENTS" section for you to put it in.

Here, place it in here, I'm all fine now as I can't see it anymore, but for the sake of the premium members:

Knight I'd have to agree with you, it's kind of getting out of hand. However, it'll be a pain, as they will have to sort it out. At the same time, it's not really fair to change the old " ad-free experience " to the newer "adsense free experience". Before making adjustments like that, you have to keep in mind of the promises Verringer made to the community. "Premium members will never have advertisements".[DOUBLEPOST=1449846711,1449846518][/DOUBLEPOST]
Correction: You pay to not see AdSense ads, not all ads in general.

I'm not saying that the ad isn't a distraction and I would love it if it wasn't there just as much as you do, but you are getting what you've paid for, and MCM still has bills to pay.

Just thought I'd offer that perspective.
Also to add on that:
How am I getting what I paid for? I purchased premium back in eh, March, and it said differently.

Pretty sure the perk said "Removes all ads," not "Removes all AdSense ads."

Yep, Mick said the adsense part was added a few weeks ago. The majority of premiums bought it when it said "ad-free"

So we should get the perks we paid for. If he wants to change the perks, that's fine, but only let it affect the new premium users.

The MCM staff team (Or maybe just Mick) has made some poor decisions recently. We all got upset with Verringer, but at least he kept his promises and informed us before he made major changes.

1. We didn't have knowledge that an ad would be placed where it is, before we bought premium, and if we had, some of us may not have bought premium.

2. Why can't Affix's ad go where the other paid ad's go? On the right with the rest of the banners? Why does he get a nice big one in front? Did he pay more?

3. So other people can advertise there right? Or is that a 'staff only' advertising spot?
