Reputation Thing

I'd like to see an actual reputation page on each user their profile. Hate to see how people compare rep to rating.
Here is how I was thinking about.

Normal members should be able to rep after 250 posts with +1 or -1

Members with a name colour should be able to rep after 250 posts with +2 or -2

Upgraded members should be able to rep after 250 posts with +3 or -3


And an actual vouch system instead of threads would be usefull as well.

People that boost for ratings will be dealt with if you see them. You can simply report them if this is the case so that makes your argument semi-invalid.

True but an actual rep system would also show why he got the reputation because you can add a reason to it

You have to pay a fee to give reputation, which is a really good system. If you abuse it then you're banned. It seems a great system to me (personally) and I have always wanted to implement something like this in MCM to reward users who have good reputation. Look at it this way - you already have Premium on MC-Market.

We don't have a reputation system, we have ratings - which shouldn't ever be used as reputation but for some reason do.

I would like it if there was negative repping so that we wouldn't need to sarcastically give people "Funny" and give them the misconception of them having good rep

I couldn't imagine how that would go, the system would be abused and too difficult to monitor given the fact rating spamming is unfortunately possible.

That could be discussed, it'd be a pretty painful thing to do though and if we were to have a reputation system - it would kind of be deemed useless but it can be looked at down the line. Our current vouch threads are extremely flawed and there's nothing we can do about it.
