When someone purchase your resource an automated message will be sent to that buyer with the text you chose and it is per resource, so if I have 2 different resources I can setup a different message for each of them.

This idea helps a lot with those who want to send a note or maybe send a license or some reminder for something etc.

This feature should also support some placeholders such as:
%buyer_name%
%purchase_date% (might be useless)
%transition_id%
%purchase_price%
%resource_name%

if there are any more you could add that would be great.

Thanks.

Agreed, I always manually message the buyer once he purchases one of my resources, this would be really helpful

And if your suggestion were to be implemented, should buyers be able to opt out of receiving automated messages whenever they purchase a resource?

To be fair they can disable getting auto purchase messages but I see no point of this toggle option because the message that the author writes must be important for the buyers and not just to use that feature and abuse it but I know there must be some authors that might abuse this which is why you may need to add this option.

But by default it should be enabled and if someone has toggled it off the author that have set this purchase PM must get a notification that the buyer didn't get your purchase PM so they can send it manually instead of not having any knowledge that the important message they have set haven't been sent to certain users.

I also think that you should give it a try without that toggle feature to see how the users will react to that, and if you get a few reports about some abuse then you should add that toggle option.

I think the ideas I said above should be fair for both buyers and authors.

I don't think so. Automated messages seem like they could be a very useful way for resource authors to provide further instruction and information to people who purchase their resource. If you're going to be spending some money on a resource I don't think you'd really be annoyed if the author sent you an automatic PM.

I could see this feature being really useful for authors to be able to provide information about dependencies, support, updates, or even just say thank you.

I'll move this to pending, I like the idea.

I'm glad you guys liked the idea too.
This will help all the buyers a lot and save their time too.

Thanks ♥
