I left a negative review about 7 months ago on Corebot, after they responded it wouldn't allow me to edit my review's text to make it a higher or lower review. But thats not the main issue I'd like to talk about.

So as I said I made the review about 7 months ago and today they had filed a review dispute the reason I think they did this is to help decrease the amount of evidence someone would have supporting their review, I think most people probably clean up their pc files by this time/wouldn't have a defence for the dispute as they cleaned up their files or there is simply just too many files to look through.

To help mitigate this I think there should be a restriction on how old a review is for you to be able to dispute it for example if a dispute is more than 90 days old you lose the ability to dispute it, this gives plenty of time for the resource holder to dispute the review. I would prefer if it was shorter than this something closer to 30 days.

Assuming this is from the date they files the disputed not when they get to it (as it takes a while to get to) then yeah it’s a good idea.

As long as they file the dispute within the set period. Then it should go through.

Well what if someone gives a false reputation to an inactive member?
This isn't the reputation its the resource review system, and if its inactive the review is more than likely being directed towards the inactivity of updates & support. If not then it would still be on the resource author to respond within a decent amount of time, why I suggested such a long period 3 months? 1 quarter of a year. Its a long time to respond to a review / dispute it.

A system very similar to this has been suggested, but ultimately denied each time. To implement something like this for resource reviews would require us to further expand our staff team for it as we had to do with our reputation disputes, and it's just not really the best thing for us to do right now given the backlog that we have for some staff roles.

There has been a different idea suggested that will hopefully assist with this problem which is to make it so that users must download and wait for a period before being able to leave a resource review. It's not perfect, but it should be an improvement.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion
