So we were all told there would be a reward or some sort of sale for the downtime. Any news on that?

I am sure everyone here is curious as to whether or not there is actual going to be something for the time we had to wait or if that was just a ploy to shut us up.

They won't reward us. What the hell? They barely do crap. No new features have been added, and I doubt any will be added.
If you've been in a staff position, you'd actually see "crap" is done. A lot more is done behind the scenes than the average members knows.

You can laugh all you want. But it's plain ignorant thinking a forum is about adding new features.

I think it's better for the staff to focus on things which are not how they are supposed to be instead of adding features.

And yes, maybe they shouldn't make claims like "we will add rewards for the downtime". The downtime was planned maintenance until a DDoS occured. Their priority was to get the site back online.

They said we would then removed the twitter post. It was a ploy to keep us quite during the downtime which is fucking ridiculous.

Yeah. That does sound ridiculous.
We were not even warned that there would be updates.

But, it was a mistake and they apologized for it. Expecting rewards just because you couldn't get online for three days is a bit ridiculous and demanding.

The only reason I was asking was because they said it, I am not concerned about it too much I just wanted to know whether or not it was going to happen. Plus I am not saying that we should get free stuff, but a sale would be nice.

The reason I am upset is because they said that we would be rewarded for the downtime and then deleted their post after MCM became live again. It just seems very unprofessional.



BTW: I am not even sure that Mick made that Tweet because to my knowledge all the staff members have unrestricted access to their twitter account.

I wouldn't say its too ridiculous, seeing how we rely on these forums, and noting the fact they got our hopes up by tweeting that there will be some surprises in the store, though its not needed, if they really cared about the community they would give a "sorry" special of some sort, though I'm just saying they should have, they are not obligated to and don't have to. It just let us down a little after the false promise of "surprises in the store"
