Hello!
We are no longer hiring. Check back soon
.
Due to the large volume of applicants, we decided to stop accepting applications for the time being. If you believe this position suits you, send me a message and I will try to work you in for an interview.

POSITION DETAILS

Matchless LLC is seeking highly-skilled java developers with a deep understanding of Minecraft. Not only must you understand the game, but have experience in playing it. If hired, you would be employed under Matchless LLC and would have many opportunities to work with a variety of highly experienced developers on other existing and future projects. This is a great opportunity. Matchless is on the cutting edge of technology and innovation, and we have a division focused solely on innovating in Minecraft. We are currently looking for java developers to fill open positions under this division.

- We need developers who can take a concept or idea, and code it from scratch exactly how we want it.
- We need developers who are competent and reliable.
- We need developers with diverse portfolios and proven work experience and education.
- We need developers who not only understand how these following game modes work but how to make them fun and competitive for players: Factions, SkyBlock, Prison, etc.

Though we have just described a few common game modes that you can find on many servers, we have designed these game modes to very nontraditional and completely custom. We do not download and install plugins, we custom code everything on our servers, we are not looking for a config developer, we are looking for a full-fledged java developer who specializes in Minecraft. This is because only one of our servers offers the above-listed game modes. The other servers offer completely custom from the ground up games that you will be required to develop with no reference to other plugins for help.

HIRING PROCESS
Do not be intimidated, if you are a skilled developer and are a good fit for the position, this will be a breeze.
Apply -> Screen -> Interview -> Hire!

APPLY: To apply you will go here and apply: https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/1434373913 or you can add me on Discord and we can move forward that way. I prefer that you fill out the job application on LinkedIn and then reply to this thread with a link to your application.
NOTE: You are applying for an actual position and you would be listed under our company, this is not 'freelance' work.

SCREEN: Once you have applied, you have applied, you will be contacted within 24 hours if we decide to move forward where you will then be screened with a shortlist of java questions that will range from easy to moderately difficult. After this, you will be asked to create a simple yet unique plugin from scratch, upload to our Github repository, and then we will review it in detail. If you are hired into the position, we will compensate you for the time spent on this plugin.

INTERVIEW: After being screened, we will choose whether or not to move forward and interview you, where will discuss specifics of your role as developer and asking the usual interview questions. We will also discuss pay/rates here.

HIRE: Once hired, you will sign our NDA, the employment contract, and review our handbooks and other important documents before you begin work. Upon completion, you will be assigned projects to begin work on.

NOTE: You MUST be at least 18 to legally sign an NDA. However, if you are not 18 and you meet all of our other requirements for experience and we think you would be an excellent fit for the position, your parents can sign the NDA.

*IMPORTANT* If hired, you will be 'employed' under Matchless LLC. The servers, websites, apps, and other products are all subsidiaries under the legal entity, Matchless LLC (holding/parent company). As a contracted java developer, you could be assigned to work on any Matchless product.

In what jurisdiction is this LLC based? Are you hiring people as employees? No offense, but having checked out the website and seeing you misusing business terminology makes me think this is just a kid playing businessman.

I completely agree, considering the fact he said cunning edge instead of cutting edge.

My bad! it seems that I made a simple spelling mistake. Thank you for pointing that out. Let it be known it was also 4 AM when I typed this.

In what jurisdiction is this LLC based?

I'm not sure the wording of your question makes sense, though I can only infer you are asking about the jurisdiction of organization. To then answer your question, it is AZ, US. In other words, the LLC was formed in Phoenix, Arizona out of the United States. To answer the second question you are asking "Are we hiring people as employees" Sort of. Allow me to explain, as you can see in our posting we are hiring for a contract position. This basically means that if hired you would be "employed by us" but it doesn't require that we pay employment taxes, it's common for developers to be hired this way starting off. I apologize for the confusion this has caused you.

Looks very professional. Good luck!

Thank you!

Seems pretty clear to me; I wanted to know where you registered.

My bad, my blind ass didn't see the "contracted" part just the employed by part. That's why I asked; it'd be rather unusual for a fledgling business to actually hire people as employees. Cool, thx.

No worries. Glad we were able to clear that up for you. As for misuse of terminology on our company's website I can't say I see any misuse, though you are welcome to enlighten me on that. You also may also be viewing the wrong website.

The terminology I was referring to was in your post. You list "servers, websites, apps and other products" as subsidiaries. Those aren't subsidiaries.

Burger King & Popeye's, those are subsidiaries of Restaurant Brands International. DePuy is a subsidiary of Johnson and Johnson. A product cannot be a subsidiary of anything.

You are correct, "products" themselves wouldn't be subsidiaries of Matchless LLC. However, we have websites, apps, and other servers that are independent companies owned and managed by Matchless. Those are subsidiaries of Matchless LLC. Although you are partially correct as it is completely misleading the way we have it worded (which I will now be changing to make it easier to understand) we weren't entirely wrong either.

Thank you for pointing that out, I hope this clears things up.
