I've been noticing on my server that it will get random lag spikes. The lag spikes will dip the tps anywhere from 10 -> 0 for up to 1-3 seconds (Based on MassiveLag /tps). With MassiveLag monitoring, it's showing on lag spikes that its loading or reloading chunks. I have a fully pregenerated world using /wb fill and EpicWorldGenerator for the terrain. I as well have my server.prop, bukkit.yml, spigot.yml, paper.yml all optimized. Render-Distance is set to 3. Server is hosted with ShockByte currently (if it's a host issue, please recommend a good one for both shared and dedicated).

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Too much running at once?[DOUBLEPOST=1481764885][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, is it shared hosting? What ram do you have? How much memory is free? How often do you restart? How many players are on when it happens?

Run the command: /timings on
Wait for the lag spike to happen, and the TPS to come back up again, then run: /timings merged
Finally run: /timings paste
That will give you a link to your timings report, post the link here so we can take a look and hopefully find which plugin is causing it.

I restart every 12 hours - 2 days (depends on if I've made server changes). I'm currently paying for 6gb dedigated wam and generally only 1gb-3gb is used. The lag can occur anywhere from 8 players - 30 players.

From my opinion I might think it might be the EpicWorldGenerator terrain.. When using it my test server lags out. It might be your problem might not.

Would it still be an issue even though the world is pre generated and I can even remove the plugin since it is?

It might be your problem with the plugin. I have lately been getting a
Could not pass event StructureGrowEvent to EpicWorldGenerator
I am not 100% sure;) Since I get big lag spikes with epicworldgenerator still on my server. The world seems fine. I have been working on a epicworldgenerator/massiavelag config so it wouldn't be worrying about a lag spike like this.

It might not be the problem.
