High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

There's only about 4 billion possible ipv4 addresses, why put extra strain by hashing them?
(Edit: This won't prevent IP leaks. Secure your database, don't rely on hashing ip addresses as security).[DOUBLEPOST=1567701530][/DOUBLEPOST]I wanted to add, what you're doing isn't hashing. It's encryption. Hashing is one way.

It logs your ip and checks it to see if you're on a new ip, but since it's like that, you can't just read the IP. It may not stop it 100%, but it's better than nothing

Well, considering you're encrypting the ip addresses and not hashing them(even though that's pointless), you CAN just "read the ip".

The IP will come out as something like this: RlPcmdUMF3ECVVB0M+JF7X5XW8dfvCgd Now, although I agree that it's much better to just keep things secure, this does help slow them down

No, once source is sold, the key will be removed.

Just provide a configuration option to change the secret key.
I was planning on that, I just didn't want peoples key's to get out there

If a server has IP's leaked from this plugin then I think they have a bigger issue in terms of who has access to the server files lol.

Hashing is one way unlike encrypting. Just hash the IPs and compare the hashes like every other sane person does.

Either or works. I’ll just change it to hashing
