When starting a Minecraft Server what is a good starting investment?
This includes everything from programming, plugins, builds, advertising, ect.
I do not want a cutting corners approach I mean making a full on server. I am aware Hypixel invested around $50k to begin with, I think thats a bit exagerative at least for now. But what is a good starting budget, $10k? $20k? ect.

Also how long can I expect to be losing money with the server as I HIGHLY doubt I'll see any positives at the beginning of the launch. So how many months can I expect to lose? Like 3 maybe? How much money should I have saved up for the first few months? And what will the expenses likely be every month once it is setup.

Thank you for any assistance, I appreciate it.

The investment depends on what you are capable of.
For example, I do builds & setups, this means i don't need to worry about paying for builds nor setups which it saves around $300 - $400+, but something i'm not capable of doing yet is Java Development, I lack knowledge on System Administration and just from coincidence i was able to get a partner that has knowledge on SYS Adminstration.

If you are not able to do any of this, I'd recommend you getting a partner that it's able to back you up in the things you lack of.
Along with the Money, In my opinion, any 3 digits it's fine. I mean, i released a server with $15 of budget and managed to get 80 players on it and 50 constant players lol.
Alright I understand this. I am however mildly incompetent. The only thing I can really do well is building mansions (Not too helpful for servers) and graphics design, but my graphics design isn't really that on par with what a server needs.

I'm planning this a bit more long term than short term, I am willing to save up to get a good setup. I want to invest into my server and make money out of it, but I do understand you have to put a lot of money into it to get anything out. I'm not thinking of a one year project I'm thinking 3+. I am willing to work hard and find a way to start a server that is sucessful in the long run, and I want to own it.

Good builds - $100+
Plugins - $150+ (Custom/Premium)
Domin - $20 (3 Years, dependant on domain)
Hosting - $100 (Yearly, unless you can get a cheaper amount)
Buycraft - $50 (Premium I think is this price)
Website - $20
Logos/Graphic Design - $50
Total: ~$500+

is this a free consultation?
Yes, long term I will be charging for finance management however.
you are just one of these stupids who take away a considerable percentage of the money of people in exchange of help, sadly, the exchange people will also be topic of discussion in the thread I created...

tip: never trust in :) faces, unless it can be proved in ACTS[DOUBLEPOST=1519154767][/DOUBLEPOST]
sadly no. i know this has an economical benefit of any means. i can smell it.
Glad you are the smart one here. I help people make more money, are you saying I should not get my own benefits?

It's not worth paying for a Financial assistance, unless you are an already stablished server that is already getting large amounts of donations. I'd recommend you getting a partner that has experience at owning servers, that way both can have each others back. You will lose a considerable amount of money by paying for a finnancial assistance if you do not have enough funds to keep it for months.

that is the reason why mostly management services that focuses on Minecraft Servers & Game Servers end up failing or they're just a publicity stunt. Trust me on this. Since i used to work for a management team in a game called Rust. I currently work as an admin and no longer affiliated with that team since it was just a rip off.
yes be caught of this!! financial idiots only want your money[DOUBLEPOST=1519156142][/DOUBLEPOST]
funny but true. i lived this on my own
I don't care about your opinions. Quite frankly, I completely disagree with them. Have a good day!

obviously someone that expected money and that knows he will not get paid anymore will want to leave the thread, its obvious no? another money wanter here!
I'm sorry but you have no idea what you are saying. There is a reason there are management services in the first place. Nothing professional is free, whether it is a product or service.

In fact, but you still STEAL a considerable amount of money of people
if your services would have been free, like it SHOULD, i wouldn't be discussing with you right now.
I simply HATE people that steal money from other people that instead they need to spend as less as possible to start their projects.

I smelled it, i know you ask for something in exchange, and it must be :

money

just don't contact him, search for a someone that :-
has high positive rep
doesnt ask for money or something in exchange
wants to help
has experience in the matter

This was kinda more of a manners thing asking for the rates lol.
