I am looking for a good web host with good prices.
If you are someone who has a website and you are happy with the hosting please tell me what host you use and how much you pay and if you are an employee of a hosting company let me know of your prices, website and specs please.

I am currently using ipage and I am not happy with them at all so I would like to change host in a months time when my hosting is over with ipage.

Currently these are the hosts I am considering:
- GoDaddy
- NameCheap
- Hostinger

If you have any feedback or previous experience with these hosts that you would like to share please do! :)

Regards
Mahan

namecheap.
That's already a host I am considering!
Can I know which plan you are using and are you happy with the host?
Also if possible can I get a link to your website that is hosted on namecheap.

I am using the "value" plan and I cannot be any happier with any other hosting than I am with namecheap.

Don't you think 5GB disk space is too small for $5/month?
Most hosts provide 20+ or unlimited disk space for that price.

We have been and plan to continue increasing this every few months, but keep the prices the same.
We can offer you a custom plan if you need more diskspace, just shoot us a PM :)

Web hosting is MUCH more than just mere disk space. Just because you can "net" more disk space doesn't make the host any better than the ones that provide less disk space per dollar.

Then "unlimited" disk space never really a thing. It actually either a limit hidden in the TOS or else a file count limitation (aka as "inodes"). Finally don't expect to be able to use it for any true advantage such as file storage, backup storage, and pretty much anything else that would almost always eat a lot of disk space.

In short get the amount of disk space that you can live off with at a reputable provider and you should be just fine.

I am fully aware than about the terms behind "unlimited" disk space. My website alone is more than 5GB and I can get hosting from top web hosts in the world for cheaper than $5 a month and get better deals. You do get unlimited storage unless you are abusing it or if as almost all host websites say, if you own websites that host large number of video files.

I never said that web hosting is only the disk space. But for $5 a month 5GB is too small. And looking at the website, they do not really give much either. Some hosting companies provide you with a lot of other services such as lets say SEO analysis, free advertisement vouchers for google, yahoo etc.. (I have used these services with ipage and i paid less than $5 a month.)
