CPU Burst
Temporary CPU scaling for Pterodactyl servers
Temporary CPU scaling for Pterodactyl servers
What is CPU Burst?
CPU Burst is a lightweight Pterodactyl addon that automatically gives servers temporary extra CPU power during high load spikes.
Instead of permanently allocating huge amounts of CPU, CPU Burst intelligently increases CPU limits only when the server actually needs it.
- Minecraft servers
- Startup spikes
- Chunk generation
- Player joins
- Temporary lag spikes
- Burst-heavy workloads
- Automatic temporary CPU boosts
- Configurable trigger threshold
- Per-server burst limits
- Unlimited burst mode support
- Cooldown protection system
- Native Pterodactyl integration
- Lightweight & optimized
- No Wings modifications required
- Dark mode friendly UI
Example
Code:
Server CPU: 200%
CPU Burst: 100% (is editable per-server, while server creation or while editing build configuration)
If server reaches 98% CPU usage (can be edited via addons settings):
200% -> 300% temporarily (can be set via addons setting)
After boost period is over the server reaches from:
300% -> 200% (back to default values)
If server triggers a spike again, there is a cooldown period to prevent misuse/spam of CPU boost (editable via addons settings)
Why is this free?
Years ago I was just another developer learning, experimenting, and building random projects.
Back then, very few people shared genuinely useful tools for free. Most things were locked behind paywalls, licensing systems, or unnecessary limitations.
As I improved and became a better developer, I realized something:
The hosting community grows faster when people help each other build.
So instead of locking everything away, I decided to release useful addons for free to encourage:
- learning
- community contribution
- innovation
- open collaboration
- better hosting ecosystems
Not everything needs to become a cash grab.
Sometimes building cool things and helping others improve is enough.
Goal
The goal of CPU Burst is simple:
Reduce temporary lag spikes without permanently wasting CPU resources.
Built for the community
