Fixtale | Keep your server alive v1.6.2

Fixtale is a combination of fixes and optimizations to make your Hytale server stable and efficient.
Fixed the bug that caused the server to crash when attempting to update the appearance of an entity that was no longer visible. This was a vanilla bug, although the chances of it occurring increased when using plugins that modify entity appearances.
Fixed a bug that caused the server to crash during the death of an entity.
Fixed the bug that prevented TPS from being increased above 20; now it is allowed up to 30. The default value remains 20.
A small patch has been added to stop the generation of chunks when an instance is shut down, reducing spam and unnecessary load during an instance shutdown.
A security guard has been introduced to prevent spawning at incorrect coordinates, causing the server to crash.

I believe the number of options in config.json has reached a critical point, where manually modifying and understanding the function of each value can be confusing. Therefore, I've been working on a UI to provide you with a better experience.

Like all previous and upcoming updates, this update is included with the one-time purchase of Fixtale at no extra cost.

In addition to the UI, a system has been created that many of you have requested (mainly through private messages) to keep chunks loaded even if there are no players in them. This is particularly useful in server spawns.

This feature works by entering the coordinates of a central chunk and then specifying a radius around it.

UI Command: "/fixtale ui"
  • Fixed a very rare crash that could be caused by plugins that added Citizens
  • Removed the default logging of "Slow system tick unknown took" (can be re-enabled in config.json)
  • Added an NPC killer ref guard to prevent world-thread crashes when a killer reference becomes invalid during death handling.
  • Added optional outdated‑mod warning suppression (disabled by default) that replaces in‑game red warnings with a clean console list of outdated plugins/asset packs.
  • SoftPackets system added for chunk/map/asset throttling with prioritization, drop of obsolete packets, batching, and fixtale netstats diagnostics. Play timeout defaults to 180s when SoftPackets is enabled.
  • View radius behavior improved. By default it no longer shrinks due to “empty server” TPS, and it ramps back up on player join (configurable step/interval).
