Dependencies & RequirementsEverything you need to run PlaytimeQuest successfully.
1. Required Dependencies
PlaytimeQuest requires the following plugins. All dependencies must be installed before starting the server.
1. Paper Server (Critical)
- Version: 1.20 or higher (Tested on 1.20.4)
- Why Required: PlaytimeQuest uses Paper-specific APIs for performance. Spigot is not supported.

2. PlaceholderAPI
- Why Required: Used to display quest progress and season pass status.

3. LuckPerms
- Why Required: Manages the "Premium Pass" access via permissions.

Key Command:
/lp user <player> permission set playtimequest.pass.premium true
4. Vault + Economy Plugin
- Why Required: To give money rewards. Vault is the bridge; you also need an economy plugin.

- Recommended Economy: EssentialsX (https://essentialsx.net/downloads.html)
2. Optional Dependencies
MySQL Database
Recommended for: Networks or servers with 50+ players.
Setup: Change storage.type to MYSQL in config.yml.

Supported Integration Plugins
PlaytimeQuest executes rewards as console commands, making it compatible with:
- Crates: CrazyCrates, ExcellentCrates
- Tokens: TokenManager, PlayerPoints
- Custom Items: ItemsAdder, Oraxen, MMOItems
- Displays: TAB, FeatherBoard, DecentHolograms
3. Setup Checklist
Java 17+ installed.- Paper 1.20+ server running.
- PlaceholderAPI installed.
- LuckPerms installed.
- Vault & EssentialsX installed.
- PlaytimeQuest.jar placed in plugins folder.
- Server Restarted (Do not just reload!).
4. Troubleshooting
Issue: "Cannot load PlaytimeQuest"
Ensure you are running Paper, not Spigot. Verify Java 17 is installed (java -version).
Issue: "Vault economy not found"
Vault is just a bridge. You must install EssentialsX (or CMI/TheNewEconomy) as well.
Issue: "Placeholders not working"
Run /papi list. If PlaytimeQuest isn't there, restart the server. Test with /papi parse me %playtimequest_season_pass%.
