Huge Vouch for AnvilNode. When I first heard of them I thought they were the run of the mill hosting trying to make a quick buck. But boy was I wrong. Their service and hardware exceeds that of the Bigger over used hosting.
One example is:
The major difference from switching from my Other Host I had a 6gb server that was almost at max resources and Now I have a 2gb server and I'm only using 3-7% of my resources. Just to Note I only have 20 Plugins.
Quick Summery:
I will continue and will righteously recommend AnvilNode to anyone who is starting or needs a server with good hardware and no lag.

So then I purchased 10GB of RAM with them and I have had no problems! Also, the live-chat support is the best I have ever dealt with and I definitely give this server hosting company a 10/10.

Wow, what can I say, extremely fair pricing on everything, staff team are fast to reply, and extremely helpful / friendly. I used one of the trials to test out, everything seems smooth. I emailed them about a dedicated server, and I had A LOT of questions (first time using dedicated hosting, I'm used to using shared.) They answered them all, and quickly.

I will be relocating my servers to Anvilnode once my current contract expires.

I've been using them for my setup server and they have not failed me at all! There was never a downtime on my server, and the status on my server is just fantastic! Hey Gamecode,

The hardware is quite similar--still Xeon with SSD on a gigabit connection. The closer you are to the machine, the better your connection/ping will be. If you're in the US, go with a server in the US. If you're overseas, go with a server in France.

Vouch! I used to use nitrous-networks, needed something better. Came here going, "ah, another bad small host mcpro wannabe...' Yeah no. This is the best host I've EVER used, or seen. Support, I opened a ticket and it was fixed in one minute. Stop reading this; go order from them!

I've gone with these guys before.
Support was amazing, absolutely stunning, they would even help me fix my config errors for FREE.
However, performance was not what I expected it to be.
I bought a 2GB server (I think?) from them for a month, then didn't pay again.
Why? I uploaded my own server on theirs, which seemed to run fine on my laptop. (Keep in mind I'm using a Pentium, with a low end Intel Graphics card and a HDD)
The server stuttered at 16-17 TPS, but at some worst cases as to where I'm entering/generating new chunks, it would drop to a 9-10 TPS or sometimes even worse. I was told to do a spigot thing, where it would show tickrate and upload a website. It was around 98%. Although, the support was very good, as they helped me improve it a little. I would go with them again if I ever decide to run a less resource-intensive server.

Sounds like you just need to fill the world. This can easily be done with WorldBorder and will generate any missing chunks so the server doesn't have to do it on the fly. Simply set a border then do /wb fill. Running the server on a laptop may work for a player or two but if you've got multiple players on and they're all generating chunks you'll probably need more than 2GB--or you can just generate the chunks ahead of time like I mentioned
