Introduction:

We have many aims in the future, (one of which is expanding into a network). We are looking for staff and investors/partners to aid us in doing this. We aim to use ideas not used by many or brand new to spice up the generic experience as well have old classic features that many know and love.

How you can help us:
-You can help us by investing in the upkeep of the server and the expansion of it
-You can become a staff member to help moderate and retain the quality we aim to have
-You can help by doing something as simple as joining out discord and being part of our community

Staff Application:
We are searching for quality staff which fit into these categories:
Helpers (3x) (1/2 EU, 1/2 US)
Builders (2x)

-SCENARIO: A player is blatantly hacking however you are the only online staff member and your recording software is unavailable, how would you respond?

Investor/Partner:
This will be a bit more restricted at first because our discord was destroyed by an "Investor".
Investor as we see it is a bit different from a Partner. An investor is just a person who donates money to the server for a return from profit, whereas a Partner has more responsibility. The partner will have more responsibilities but you can do that only if you wish to undertake some things. you will similar obligations to an owner but not to the same degree.
Note: If you wish to support the server but not donate as much as is required here you may donate to http://paypal.me/BarbarianFactions and anything over $5 will get a 3d early whitelist before the release of Map 2 as well as more rewards the bigger it is.
Investor Criteria:
-Must have a budget of $50+
Partner Criteria:
-Must have a budget of 50$+
-Must be active
-Must be willing to undertake basic moderation duties
-Before getting any permission or trust you must pay $20 so that we can ensure you actually have a real interest in the server. This is because as stated earlier a fake investor ruined our discord.
Note: For Partner/Investor please pm me here or else pm me on discord (Jack/Jackpat02rules on discord)
Note: Someone from the US or AU is preferable as I am EU time so it would be good to have someone in a high position on at almost all times

Discord: https://discord.gg/bbyUJZd
Website: http://www.barbarianfactions.com
Server IP: Server currently closed for Map 2

Thank you all for your time for reading this and we hope to meet some of you soon!

-What are your likes, dislikes etc (pertaining to Minecraft or how a staff team should work)?
I personally don't like it when higher staff (who didn't work their way up from helper or mod) try to act like they've got more experience unless they do, generally I'd prefer the positions like CM or the server manager you mentioned be filled with long-time or experienced staff instead of new people because it builds up a trust.

Aside from that I prefer higher staff like senior mods or admins have their own chat, maybe mods and helpers not being allowed to see others in vanish to prevent abuse, generally I'd say I like systems with checks and balances and staff meetings would be nice so everyone can stay updated on what's going on and bring up any concerns or suggestions.

-How many hours could you dedicate to the server per week? I currently am capable of dedicating around 28 hours, not including AFKing or checking forums/discord.

Do you have any Minecraft forum accounts? (Bukkit, Spigot, Minecraft forums, etc)? I do not.

Advanced Information:
-Why do you want to become a helper?
I want to become a helper because I just like factions generally. I also like to help people out because seeing their reactions just gives you a proud feeling -if you get what I mean-. Factions server also typically have quite a lot of hackers (x-rayers and people with ChestESP make it impossible to make an unclaimed base usually) and it's an issue I don't like dealing with but an issue I'm willing to help lessen the strength of.

I get really into factions so I'll end up reading everything on the forums, I'll probably try to meet everyone I can, etc. so chat spam and forum toxicity is really annoying because it's just a waste of time. I have a lot of spare time nowadays since I've finished a build I've been working on for a long time, I'd like to spend it playing factions and doing something I enjoy.

-Why should we accept you over another person applying?
I think that you should accept me over another applicant because I'm dedicated and I'm qualified for the position. I have experience screensharing (if that's something you've implemented into your server), 3 years playing factions as well as a combined 14 months as a Helper, Trial-mod and Moderator on different servers throughout my time playing Minecraft.

I also by proxy have a lot of knowledge about factions and cannoning so if you need me to help out on a test server or try to work our a bug, I can most likely be of use. I'm able to do basic video editing if you'd prefer I don't show specific things while recording hackers and I usually run at around 175 FPS when recording. I tend to be very active in voice channels so I'd be willing to assist players over TeamSpeak or Discord if needed. Finally, my schedule is very flexible so I could likely attend staff meetings.

-What skills can you offer to the team?
I can offer 14 months of experience at different staff ranks, under different punishment systems under different types of ranking systems under different types of factions. I am also well-versed in cannoning and redstone mechanics and I have good knowledge of operating on Discord, TeamSpeak, Enjin and Xenforo as a staff member.

I have worked under AAC, NCP and Spartan with custom configurations (and occasionally GUI add-ons) and I can begin recording my screen nearly instantly if required. I additionally have a vast knowledge of common tactics used by hackers or glitchers to appear legitimate as well as custom enchantments, so I won't falsely ban somebody if their boots give them jump boost or anything.

Some plug-ins I am experienced with are WorldGuard, FAWE, Litebans, AAC, NCP, Spartan, Advancedban, TigerReports, MassiveTickets, Factions, FactionsFly, CrazyEnchantments, EpicRename, Essentials, SuperVanish, VanishNoPacket, Staff+, LuckPerms, CoreProtect, PRISM and more. I'm also a fast learner so if you have a significant plugin I'd be willing to learn.

Lastly, I have worked with playerbases of around 30, 125 and 300 all on the same server. I've used reporting plugins, ticket plugins, Staff+, staff-mode plug-ins, freezing/screensharing systems and more. I've even worked under a customized auto-mute system called "Sarefine" that would automatically mute and warn players who were detected to be spamming, using chars, advertising, etc.

-Do you have any experience moderating or helping other servers? If so, what was the server called? What did you do on a day to day basis? How large was the community?
Rank | Server Name | Average Playercount (while I was on) | Time Spent

Helper | EmeraldPvP | 30 | 3 Months

I first played on this server for one month before I applied for Helper. My first application was denied due to my previous behavior (I had 2 previous mutes within a month of my application). It was a server I'd donated on so I tried my hardest to be a good player for 2 weeks, then I re-applied and was accepted. I will admit however I probably wouldn't have been promoted to moderator for a long time.

As a Helper I had access to staff chat and the /tempmute command. I could also submit evidence on the HBL (Helper Ban List) if I recorded hackers or screens hotted advertisers. I was also able to respond to reports (only chat infractions) and mute appeals. Lastly, I gave feedback on potential new staff members. I learned some basic screensharing here and I also got my first experience with players duping and major server issues like it, and dealing with the resulting chaos.

The server shut down due to a lack of donations and inability to find a developer who met our needs.

Helper -> Trial Mod -> Helper -> Moderator | Otraxia Factions | 300 | 8 Months
I played on this server for two months before applying for the Helper position. As a Helper, I could tempmute and tempban as well as use /vanish. I could additionally use /dupeip. I was a Helper for 2 months without any major events before being promoted to the Trial mod position. The server also had a KitPvP server, and I spent most of my time there since there had been a large increase in hackers due to our increased advertising. As a trial mod, I could perm-mute and also hand out 60-day tempbans. I also had access to the staff-mode (modified Staff+), /freeze command and this is where I learned more advanced screensharing.

This is also where I had experience with the Black Ice auto-punish system and AAC. Additionally I could manage reports through their custom report GUI. I also answered questions on the server support channels on the Discord and TeamSpeak.

5 months into my time as a staff member on Otraxia, a new Administrator joined the staff team, mainly as a staff manager and community manager (basically responsible for the promotion of the server, including YouTubers and social media) who made many changes to the staff system, removing the trial moderator rank. I was demoted to Helper and given one month to prove myself worthy of a promotion to moderator. If I didn't, I'd be a normal player again. I did my best and I was promoted to Moderator after a month. I stayed as a moderator for the next 2 months until resigning due to the impending inactivity as my exams were coming up and I had to deal with personal family issues.

Helper -> JrMod | Aurora Network | 125 | 3 Months
I played on this server for a month before I applied for staff. The server was using a modified version of the Spartan anticheat. Admittedly they were short on staff so that could've had an impact on how my application was received. The network consisted of Factions, OP Factions and Skyblock. Helpers were only staff on the gamemode they applied on, JrMods were only staff on 2 gamemodes (of their choice) and Moderators would've been global staff. I had my rank and permissions on the hub as well.

As a Helper, I held a staff position on OP Factions. Nothing really significant happened, I just muted players and responded to help tickets that players submitted. After a month, I was approached with the opportunity to become a JrMod. I chose to have staff permissions on regular Factions, but I still helped out when I played Skyblock. I spent a lot of time on players glitching into bases until the administrators purchased a plug-in patching most glitches. After that, I spent a lot of time spectating potential hackers.

I then resigned from my staff position to focus on my grades in school and learn about Java.

-Can you record evidence and post it on Youtube?
Yes, as mentioned above I run around 175 FPS when recording and I have good knowledge of editing.

-Are you thinking of being staff temporarily or long-term?
I'm thinking of it as long-term. If you are worried that I will resign when school gets tougher, I assure you this is no problem. One of my friends has been helping me study and my grades are doing very well.

-Explain a time you made a mistake and how you fixed it:
As a Moderator on Otraxia, I banned a 3-person faction for glitch abuse after they had exploited a bug in our anti-glitch system to enter the base of a faction holding the 3rd place on f-top. It turned out that the players were alt accounts testing their glitch layers (with a SrMod watching) and reporting the issue to staff. I was unable to see the vanished staff member however they had left right before I banned the users. Since it was a silent ban, none of the online Helpers noticed (there were no other mods or sermons or admins at the time).

I realized my mistake the next day when the SrMod was looking through our bans website and saw the players' names. I unbanned the players and I apologized to each of them. To my knowledge they understood and there were no hard feelings.

-SCENARIO: It's your first week of being a Helper and you mute a well-known player. Their faction members and friends start spamming your chat calling you a bad Helper and telling you to unmute them. What would you do?
I would firstly tell them to stop spamming and provide my evidence/reasoning for the punishment. I would also tell them that the player may appeal on the server forums. If they continue, I would punish them for the appropriate amount of time specified by the administrators.

-SCENARIO: A player is blatantly hacking however you are the only online staff member and your recording software is unavailable, how would you respond?
Assuming this user's actions cannot be proven with a screenshot, I would ask for staff members through Discord/Slack/any communication platform exclusively used by the staff team. If nobody was available, I would look for any trustworthy players to record the user for me. If I had permissions to ban and the user's actions were a serious threat to the server (such as spreading duped items or exploring a severe glitch) I would obtain as much proof as possible and ban the user. If I had insufficient permissions, I would spam /kick them (using the -s feature if allowed).

-SCENARIO: A user of the forums report you for abusing your permissions and attaches a short video showing you instantly muting them and other players when they weren't breaking any rules, how do you respond?
Assuming the users were not just me tabbing the incorrect names or forged evidence and I really did screw up, I'd apologize, unmute the players and explain myself the best I could to my superiors. If it became too big of an issue I would likely make a thread on the forums explaining myself and apologizing again.

-Do you have any other obligations to other servers (such as being a staff member, YT role, etc.)
No, however I do occasionally hop on my friend's server to help him test out anti-cheat settings and other plug-ins.

-Anything else we should know?
No.

-What are your likes, dislikes etc (pertaining to Minecraft or how a staff team should work)? I have been playing minecraft for some time now, and I really like the community. A staff team should be one team not different teams in one staff team.

-How many hours could you dedicate to the server per week?
14 hours a week at least ( 2 hours a day)
Do you have any Minecraft forum accounts? (Bukkit, Spigot, Minecraft forums, etc)? yes, mc forums, mc market.

Advanced Information:
-Why do you want to become a community manager for the server?
I have been in a paid Build team for quite a while, but it gave me too much stress, and now I wanna go for another challenge, I have been community manager before, and I really like the job.
-Why should we accept you over another person applying?

I am an optimistic person and I have a high knowledge of minecraft, as I started playing in june 2012, I am able to deal with problems such as arguments, griefing, hacking and any other things that could effect the server in a negative way, I am able to come up with good ideas, i can fit in any situation and i will improvise very quick on different situations in short time! I also know a lot about plugins, and I am someone who likes building a lot! By just having fun myself I can help people having fun to!

-What skills can you offer to the team?

My most valuable skill is my kindness and my compassion, I am a really sensitive guy who cares about other people a lot, this is my strength but also my weakness, sometimes I can be to good to some people, but with my experience as staff member I can definitely see when people go to far. With my kindness I can help people out when there are stuck, with anything. With my kindness and compassion I can turn an argument/fight into a normal conversation with two parties who don’t agree with each others opinion, I can also make a lot of friends on the server, this will help me get respected and will make everyone time on the server way more fun! I can

-Do you have any experience managing with other servers? If so, what was the server called? What did you do on a day to day basis? How large was the community?

Admin- rainbowMC network, fun server with a big discord server, but it got all griefed/hacked.

Moderator- South craft

-Are you thinking of being staff temporarily or long-term?

I have been looking for this job for a while now, and i finally found it here, I ofc am here for a long term.

-Explain a time you made a mistake and how you fixed it: I once demoted someone because of inactivity, but he said that he was on a holiday 2 days before that, but it had miss that, so I demoted him, I fixed it by pm ing him with my apologies and gave him his rank back.

-Do you have any other obligations to other servers (such as being a staff member, YT role, etc.) I am manager on a discord of a friend of mine ( doesn’t have a server)

-Anything else we should know?

I am from the Netherlands, so I am not a native English speaker

Basic Information:
-IGN: King_Tije

-Age: 15 ( almost 16)

-Timezone: Utc+1 ( Gmt+1)

-Discord: Tije#2588

Head admin- Legendcraft, legend craft was a fun but small server, they had 25+ players not more.

Head builder- starclash

Builder – starclash

Helper/builder- project krazuim, this is a very fun server, with over 100 players, they put a lot of work into building, I learned a lot of the lead builder there, most of my work I learned of him!
