What a rip-off, story time:

I asked for a very advanced Discord bot, I gave them an entire .txt file with all features, each of them explained in detail.
They said they could make it for $30. I agreed, instantly payed and they started working a few days after. they told me it would be a maximum of 2 weeks work from the moment the payment went through. FYI: the payment was via PayPal, so it was almost instant.

The features I asked were the following:
- Moderation commands like kick, ban, clear, warn, mute,...
- Music (Play, pause, resume, skip, stop, queue,..
- Level system (similar to Mee6, so I knew this would be the biggest thing)
- Fun commands (Dog, Cat, Joke, Meme, Avatar,..)
- Straightforward ticket system with transcripts
- Other commands like whois, help, serverinfo,..
- An economy with daily rewards, gambling, rob people,..
- Logging feature

I had already coded some of the stuff for this bot, but nothing too advanced, just to save time and maybe a bit of money. They received several commands from my part to implement in the bot (and they did).

FF 2 weeks later: I asked for an update as the bot should be about finished, this is what I got as a reply:
"(DDI Founder/CEO) DamonOnYT: Currently we have Ticket, Economy, Logs, joke, meme, warn, purge & tempban to complete."
Keep in mind, most things here were just copy/pasted from previous projects. Besides, that it looked like a lot was done.

So basically at that point, they made the most of the bot and took 2 weeks to do that. I asked them how much longer they would need.
He didn't quite know but he said he was going to put more devs on the project, which I liked.
(In the end, no other dev worked on it)

FF 3 days later, I received access to the repo to check how far they progressed, they said they were "almost finished". Just 3-5 more days, worst-case scenario.

I checked the repo and all the commands that were in it, my god..
They said to me the level system was also ready.
Apparently all they did was make a leaderboard which kept score who talked the most, and that's it..

His excuse: I didn't write down everything in my notes on what you wanted in the bot, just some keywords/important parts and was working on that.

I gave them an entire .txt file, why do you need notes? It's already noted.
So the current ETA was no longer valid because they still had TONS of work to do.

FF 6 days later (24 sept):
I asked if the bot is going to be finished this week, as I presumed it wasn't going to be, the answer I got was:
(DDI Founder/CEO) DamonOnYT: I go on holiday at the end of the week, so if it stretches after Ill issue a partial refund (Since work was done, I cant fully refund)

I just gave in to that and was already expecting the refund as the bot wasn't even close to being finished.

Now instead of actually working on that bot for the entire month, I saw them just mostly game roblox and minecraft instead of working for a paying customer. I even mentioned this to them but that got ignored.

I was done with it all so I said:

"I'm assuming nobody is going to continue to work on the bot.. Looking at it now, it has (working)
- Clear, Ban, Kick, Warn
- Cat, Dog, Avatar, Ping, Whois
- Level (minimal)
- Help, Serverinfo, Stats
And a setup

It is safe to say that 90% of these commands are basic features which are more than likely copy pasted from previous projects as these are extremely simple.
The bot in it's current state, isn't worth more than $5 (which is already a high amount)
So I guess I would just like my refund.."

His answer was:
(DDI Founder/CEO) DamonOnYT: All our purchases are considered final. At most, I can refund $10 of the order.

So I got a bot which isn't even finished, just a few basic commands, and that cost me 20$.

TL;DR:
Payed $30 for an advanced bot, got a very basic bot worth $5. got a partial refund, still payed $20 for a basic bot.
