GamrHub: Should this be a thing?

Hi,

I have had this idea for a while now, and I was wondering what other people think about it. I wanted a place where gamers could join a forum on topics like genre, games, or consoles. Also, in a community like Discord, the main idea is to have teams that play esports games, such as FPS games. It can broaden into a community on a server, making it a forum on the forum part of the website as a private community.

Also, we are all gamers here, so gamify the website by offering XP and levels for posts, team creation, joining a team, etc. Make it more fun for an average Joe to explore the site and see what it offers. That is basically my idea, so I wonder if I can get any advice.

I am a developer and have already started working on the site. I have a VPS and a domain ready to launch this thing. I am still working on the site, and I will mainly be soloing most of it. I could not do everything alone, so I came here to improve the design before making a massive step, like building the entire website and spending money with no returns.

Here are my initial plans:

• Get a forum up and running
• Connection with Minecraft servers (simple team mechanic)

If I start with Minecraft servers and target the owners to have their community come aboard, I will eventually grow into something much bigger. Also, I am thinking more deeply about this. Still, I want a way, either through creating a plugin/mod or an existing API, for a server has a way to directly connect, like having the same roles on the site and server or gamifying the server within the website, like an XP system on the server.
