Minecon Cape Codes

So at the moment you can't buy or sell cape codes (yeah I just saw that suggestion). That just triggers me even more. Why, exactly, are we not allowed to buy and sell cape codes? Why can't premium or supreme members do it or something like that. Thats just stupid, because a lot of us want cape codes or are planning to buy them and with MCM making that rule it makes us go out of our way to find somebody instead of just saying "Hey looking to pre-order a cape code hit me up!!" In SB. If we can't sell cape codes why can we sell cape accounts? In fact cape codes have less of a scam rate than cape accounts and og accounts if you know how to use them because you can just put them on the account you want and then pay and the person will have no way of taking it back, so if you are dealing with a sketchy person just make them go first and you will be fine. Idk though what are your thoughts mcm?

A section for cape codes should be added. From there it could have like a big warning header could even include something along the lines of cape code scam reports will be ignored if that's the real problem. Mcm should allow cape codes anyways, its not like people don't get scammed on other items.

Idea:
Make the seller paste the code into a form which makes a verify code button that can be pressed globally every 5 minutes.
And Maybe:
Have an optional button in where to process the transaction automatically via PayPal and get the code when the seller chooses the person to sell it to and the price which would reduce scamming efficiently. This can also check if the code is still valid before the transaction is completed and after again to see when the code was used if within 10 minutes checking again every minute.
Also...
The system could potentially ask which MC username it will be applied on and can help resolve scam reports, however this stops reselling.

I generally try not to be rude by rushing the staff, but the fact that this hasn't gotten some form of acknowledgment from BeBosny is a bit strange, to say the least.

I know I told the OP to be patient a few weeks ago, but I've taken a good look at the suggestions section since then. I've realized that BeBosny tends to post-on/address a suggestion thread after its gotten a few days worth of solid support. This thread has gotten a few weeks worth of massive support.

Again, I'm not trying to be rude. Heck, I didn't even tag him in this post. But I really do think a suggestion with such support should, at the very least, be addressed.

I also thought I'd mention that if cape code security is really SUCH a major concern, then it may be a decent idea to only allow supreme members to trade codes.

I was originally going to suggest that an entirely new rank be created for this, but then I took a look and realized that supreme users have relatively few perks. Plus, since account selling is limited to premium or above, it would make sense that code selling is limited to supreme. No real need for a third rank. Though if y'all added one, I'd still get it lol.

You could so easily chargeback though, and then boom, you have a secure minecon cape. There would be so many scams.

There is ALWAYS a threat of chargeback in sales such as these. This is where people take normal precautions against scamming, such as dealing with reputable users or dealing in BTC for high value items etc.
I don't think that should limit the sale of cape codes on MCM.
