About Myself
Hello everyone, my name is beeforham and I am the current owner of PixelWar. I have inherited this project from my friend (as well as his minecraft account) and am finally in a position to start recruiting for potential staff candidates. Due to a medical condition, I've unfortunately had to take a leave from work and will not be able to return for a few months (possibly a year). I am viewing this as an opportunity to sink time into a massive project, so I will be able to update the server as frequently as possible. I plan on releasing the server in two 'segments'. The first segment will consist of factions and survival (10/06/2018; 12:00 PM CST). The second segment will be the sotw event for HCF (10/28/2018; 12:00 PM CST).A little about myself. I am 23 and recently graduated with a degree in network security. I am slowly learning java because hiring a developer is currently out of the budget. I do have skript experience, but would prefer to recode all my current skripts to java. I have been playing Minecraft since beta 1.8 and am excited to work on a project like this. I am also a musician (pianist) and compose music as a hobby.
General Server Info
The server currently has two gamemodes (Factions and RP Survival) with a couple tweaks. I am planning on releasing a Shotbow-like HCF after the initial release. Server is non pay2win. All donation ranks are cosmetic. Each server has its own "mechanic" that the economy is based around.
Gems
Gems are a secondary currency completely independent from money. They can only be obtained by mining, voting, or winning vouchers in crates. Gems let you buy custom tool enchants, boosters, kits, prestige multipliers, cosmetics and HcF credits. The enchants currently available can boost your tools immensely giving you a significant advantage on the server, hence why I can't make them for sale. To prevent server lag, each enchant has a lasting time of 9 seconds. Simply switch your hotbar selection back/forth to reset its time.

Factions
Factions
The world border is currently at 5K blocks. Factions are set at a 50-man cap to encourage pvp. The map resets every 15 weeks. We have /f top. Here is a projected payout scheme:
Factions can upgrade their claims to increase crop growth speeds, decreased mob spawn rates and increased XP from farms.
Custom Enchants:
The server has 14 custom enchantments to increase the power of your tools. Players can /prestige to increase their effects.
Haste
Haste increases your mining speed. Up to 50 levels can be purchased on this enchantment.
Explosive
Explosive give you a chance of creating an explosion radius of Level*2 destroying blocks that you mine. When an explosion happens, all exploded items will automatically be placed into your inventory. Explosive has a max level of 100 with your chance of it happening increase by 0.43% per level.
AutoSmelt
AutoSmelt is currently broken. Working on a fix.
MobCannon
MobCannon shoots a hostile mob out of your tool with a chance of 0.57% chance per level. There is a max level of 10 for lag purposes.
Inquisitor
Inquisitor increases the amount of xp dropped when killing mobs; the max level for this enchantment is 25, but may be increased if demand is high enough.
Rage
Our server has pre-1.9 combat mechanics. Rage increases pvp damage with consecutive attacks. At a max level of 15, this enchantment can do a whopping 15.5 hearts to a player with unenchanted diamond armor.
Blunter
Blunter adds durability protection to your items. If broken, it has a chance of filling the item to full durability. The max level for this enchantment is 25.
MrStompy
Like useless enchants? Like practical ones? With this enchantment, you can break blocks by stomping on them with diamond boots.
Blast
Shift-RightClick to blast off nearby players and enemies. Each level increases the radius of the effect.
Elytra
Like the popular 1.9 mechanic, this enchantment lets you glide!
Vampire
This enchantment gives you a chance of sucking life out of a player when pvping. Each level increases the chance of the effect taking place.
Unbreakable
Makes an item unbreakable.
Voodoo Doll
Despise a player? Enchant a player's head with this to inflict minor damage every 5 minutes!
Anti Knockback
Like the popular hack, gives you permanent antiknockback on each enchanted armor.
Envoys Every Hour:
Envoys come in 3 different sizes; basic, legendary and titan. Every hour, chests will drop from the sky and will disappear after 5 minutes. Right clicking a chest will reveal its contents and reward you. Whoever has found the most envoys every week will win a 5x booster. Players can only open envoys once every 10 seconds which will eliminate players getting to OP quick. Envoys cannot start if there are fewer than 4 people online.
Auctions:
Auctions have been retrofitted with a gui. Players have a limit of 10 bids/sells but there is no cooldown.
No Kit Cooldowns:
No one likes kit cooldowns. Cooldowns have been replaced with uses. On first joining, you get 1 free use for /kit starter, /kit food, and /kit once. To unlock more, try your luck at our crates or vote for the server. I am a firm believer against pay to win servers, so the only way to unlock the other kits would be to win them. Voting for the server will guarantee at least 1 kit use. On the donation store, it is possible though to donate for a /kit all (/crate key all).

- 3rd/Additional Seasons: $500 + 7-10% of donations (Percentage calculated based on server growth)

The survival server's goal is to retain as much vanilla as possible with a few interesting twists! The map is set in a rpg-themed world. All items spawn in the overworld with the nether/end being a contested battleground. The map will most likely not reset. Pvp is disabled except in specified areas.

Server Upkeep/Donation Benefits:
Let's now discuss some server specific business as well as my plan for donators to sustain the server. A personal critique of mine to most servers is the vast amount of "uselessness" in the donation system.
There are two types of donation packages; permanent and variable. Permanent packages include Ranks, Cosmetic Packs, /hostserver ram upgrades (donors only) while variable packages include boosters, /key all, /kit all, etc.
Here is a breakdown of the donation ranks and their respective benefits:
I have simplified donations to make it easier to sustain the server. Our current server costs are around $156 per month. That includes 2x 32gb dedicated server, xenforo license transfer, domain/hosting, all built assets (builds, gfx). For potential admins, the ROI at this current number would be about 4 months, 17 days. This does not include an expansion reserve. I have also included the admin stipend in this amount.

Also, players ULTRA and higher may increase their /hostserver ram by $25/512mb. Each player that has maxed out ram (4gb) costs me $4 per maxed out donor. At this stage, the admin is responsible mostly for community/staff management. They are in charge of the discord, forums and manage reports in-game. A qualified candidate for this position would have:
Moderators retain roles of moderating in discord, forums and in-game.The initial selection will also consider you for higher positions as the server expands. All moderators have access to a punishment gui which will make player punishments less time consuming. Currently, moderation positions are not paid, but I would be more than happy to prorate a stipend if we are able to meet our donation flex goals. A qualified candidate for this position would possess the following:
As the server expands, we will be incorporating more staff positions. All accepted staff in the initial hiring will be considered for promotion as the server expansion sees fit.
- Admin (Doubles as Community Manager) - (0/1)
- There is a stipend for this position. We can discuss it privately.
- Moderator (Chat, Hacks, etc.) - (0/4)
At this stage, the admin is responsible mostly for community/staff management. They are in charge of the discord, forums and manage reports in-game. A qualified candidate for this position would have:
- No major MCM infractions within the last year
- Availability of 2+ hours of playtime on weekdays and 4+ on weekends
- Community orientated
- Knowledge of Discord, Discord Bots, Xenforo
- Ability to recruit players to all forms of server media
- Must be at least 17 to apply
- Ability to lead the staff team in a positive direction
- Weekly stipend (I will negotiate rates in private chat/discord only)
- Access to development boards/rooms
- Access to ban records/table management
