Question to Configurators

Hey there!
My Name's Miro, I'm 16 years old and I am currently learning how to configurate servers / plugins. I started with AdvancedCrates, Holos etc. and tried multiple designs to see what fits the best and compared it with other configs that I saw on minecraft servers etc.
My goal is to improve my "Configurator Skills" to a level where I can accept comissions (for example at a service team).
My Question to Configurators is:
What is the most frequent thing a customer wants? A server setup? Simple Holos? Others?
And what would you, personally, recommend to gain more experience in this field

I'm probably gonna edit this post as I am just writing rn and probably forgot some stuff. Thanks a lot to everyone who replies! I really wanna learn how to do hot configs

Most customer wants:
- Things that is hard/takes long time to make like: Crates, Shops, other high detailed plugins or fully done server setups.

I would recommend working on as many different plugins as possible.

Aight aight, I see... Thanks a lot! At what point would you say a configurator is good enough to accept comissions? Or is there even a point where you can say "this person is ready to do paid comissions for others"

Make a thread saying that you are making configurations for free to build up a reputation, and you should be good to go after a few of thoes. Thats just to show that you know what you are doing & have a few people that liked your work before people pay you for it.

I recommend you start with configuring plugins, try to investigate which ones are the most used, for example, DeluxeMenus. Try to create several good configurations and create a great portfolio. And as they told you, to start with, it would be useful to create a thread where you offer a limited quota of free configurations to start earning some reputation. Oh wow! Thanks a lot for your offer, I'll check your profile later to see if you've got discord Probably I could add you? I'd be very happy if someone could help me from time to time as I sometimes got errors and didn't know what caused 'em etc. Of course thanks for the tips! I already posted a post for free configs to build up some reputation and learn more

I mean, it's been a long time since I've done configurations for MC (never did commissions on it, just kinda for friends and my own server) but I can say that server owners love them some comments explaining what your config(s) do.

So what I've always done is completely re-style my configs to be thoroughly explained why each option is set as it is and whether or not it can be safely changed without breaking the setup as a whole.

Just my piece of advice. Feel free to disregard it if you want to!
