After recently getting back into Minecraft again, I’ve decided to restart my own server project: RedRoot SMP.
RedRoot is planned to be a community-driven Java + Bedrock crossplay server (via Geyser) focused around Lifesteal, progression, economy systems and keeping players engaged long-term.
The goal is to create the kind of server many of us enjoyed years ago — active community, progression, events, economy, crates, grinding, PvP, and plenty to work towards.
Planned features include things such as:
• Lifesteal mechanics
• Economy & progression systems
• Crates / rewards
• Shops & balancing
• Events and community activities
• Crossplay support (Java + Bedrock)
• Long-term progression & player retention systems
• Community-driven development
As the project is restarting from the ground up, I’m looking for voluntary team members willing to help build something together.
Roles we are looking for include (but are not limited to):
Management & Leadership
• Community Managers
• Discord Managers
• Media Managers
• Event Managers
• Potential Co-Owner (details below)
Staff Team
• Moderators
• Helpers
• Administrators
• Support Staff
Content & Media
• Content Creators / Streamers
• TikTok / Shorts Creators
• Media Team
• Designers / Artists
Development & Technical
• Developers
• Configurators
• Plugin setup / balancing
• Skript developers
• Builders
Even if your role is not listed above, feel free to reach out anyway — if you think you can contribute to the project in any way, I’d genuinely appreciate it.
Important:
All positions are currently voluntary / unpaid as all current funding is being put directly into server hosting and development costs.
I may also be open to bringing on a second owner / partner, however this would likely involve contributing towards hosting costs and helping with the long-term management of the project.
A little about me:
I’ve previously staffed and managed multiple Minecraft communities and previously owned RedRoot SMP during its earlier seasons. The project reached around 120 Discord members and averaged roughly 7–12 concurrent players. I also previously held management roles on DarkSteal SMP, a Lifesteal/economy server which reached around 450 Discord members.
I have experience with:
• Server management
• Community moderation
• Plugin configuration
• Discord management & automations
• Backend / console management
• Basic Skript development
