ApexCore v4.9 — Changelog

New Features

1. Kit System — Full kit editor GUI, per-rank kit assignment, and kit list browser. Replaces the old StarterKit system.
2. Server Rules System — Rules GUI shown on first join or every join (configurable). Players are frozen until they accept. Admins can manage rules via /apex rules.
3. Punishment System — New /apex punish and /apex warn commands with a full GUI. Alt detection now shares punishments across alt accounts.
4. Maintenance Mode — /apex maintenance to lock the server to non-admins with a configurable kick message.
5. Auto-Restart — /apex autorestart to schedule a server restart with countdown and broadcast. Supports time units (e.g. 30m, 1h).
6. ClearLag / Lag Monitor — Auto-clean on a configurable interval with broadcast warnings. TPS tracking with /tps. Optional auto-clean on TPS drop.
7. Item Ban Overhaul — Item ban creator now has a Vanilla / Custom type selector. Dedicated sub-menus for banning specific potion types and enchanted book levels.

Bug Fixes

1. Potion item bans now match exact material type only — no false positives.
2. Enchanted book bans now correctly match specific enchant levels.
3. /back no longer overwrites your last location if a TPA warmup is cancelled mid-teleport.
4. Ban item list GUI now shows a Back button instead of Close.

New:

Auto-updater — ApexCore will now automatically check for new versions on startup and download updates to plugins/update/. Ops are notified in-game and in console. Configurable via auto-update.enabled and auto-update.auto-download in config.yml.


Fixed:

Combat tag no longer persists after a player dies — previously players would respawn still tagged with the remaining timer.

Some bug fixes..

1. Fixed a bug in combat tag where combat tag was activated even after hitting players in creative or while in safezone.

2. Fixed a bug of "No-Naked Killing" feature where the toggle wasen't working.

3. Naked players wouldn't be able to hit any other player, their pvp will be totally off (this was done so that people won't misuse this feature).

ApexCore — What's New (4.7 Update)

1. Claim Villagers (Click Villager Overhaul)
You can now claim villagers as your own on your SMP. Right-click a villager with a golden shovel to open a confirmation GUI and claim it. Claimed villagers are fully protected — no damage from any source (players, explosions, environmental) can harm them. When you pick up a claimed villager, hovering over the head item in your inventory now shows a full breakdown of that villager's trades, including prices and what they offer, so you always know what you're carrying.

2. Damage Modifier GUI
The damage modifiers section now has a proper in-game GUI to manage combat balance settings. Includes individual toggles and multipliers for arrow damage, TNT Minecart damage, Mace Damage, Spear Damage, Fall Damage, Crystal Damage, and a dedicated Bed Bombing limiter that caps how much damage a bed explosion can deal in combat. And also a Happy Ghast Speed Modifier. Each modifier can be tuned independently without touching config files.

3. New Player Protection & Anti-Grief
New players joining the server receive a temporary protection period (configurable duration). During this window:

They cannot be harmed by other players (PvP is blocked)
Lava, fire, and TNT placed nearby by other players are blocked within a configurable radius around them
If a player manages to grief a protected newcomer anyway, fully configurable punishment actions fire automatically (ban, message, etc.)
Optionally, players can remove their own protection early

4. Grace Period Improvements
The grace period (the peaceful phase at the start of each SMP season) now has two additional toggles:

No mob damage — mobs deal zero damage to players during grace period
No fall damage — players take no fall damage during grace period
Both are individually configurable so you can mix and match depending on your SMP style.

5. Setup Wizard Tweaks

Added a /apex setup command, by which you can open the setup wizard gui which will let you select a preset for your smp, and turn on/off crucial features with one click, the whole process of setting up the plugin for your server now takes less then a minute with this feature.

Offline InvSee / EchestSee
Admins can now inspect the inventory and ender chest of offline players directly with /invsee and /echestsee.

Anti-Alt Detection
Detects players logging in from the same IP address. Three configurable modes:

• ALERT — Notify admins silently
• KICK — Alert admins and kick the alt
• BLOCK — Alert admins and deny login entirely

Supports UUID and IP whitelists. Configured under features.anti-alt in config.yml.

Toast Notifications
Broadcast advancement-style popup notifications to any player or everyone on the server.
/toast <player|all> <task|goal|challenge> <material> <title>

• task — Square frame
• goal — Rounded frame
• challenge — Star/spiked frame (purple text)

New Player Anti-Grief
Protected new players are now shielded from lava, fire, and TNT grief within a configurable radius. When a griefer is detected you can run custom punishment commands automatically via features.new-player-protection.anti-grief.actions.

Custom Cooldown System (Premium) Added a brand new system to adjust the cooldown of ANY item you want! This includes full support for custom items with specific names or CustomModelData. This is a premium feature, so contact me for prices and your license key.

Border Presets (/borderpresets) You can now create and manage different presets for your borders! Includes full control over warning ranges, border size, and shrink timings. Save your configurations once and load them whenever you need for events.

Refined Cooldown Triggers Made cooldowns way smarter to prevent accidental triggers:

• [] Weapons: Only triggers on an actual hit to an entity. [] Blocks: Only triggers when the block is successfully placed.
• Custom Items: Standard right-click items still work as usual.

Self-Protection Removal Added a new config option allow-self-remove. If enabled, players can now use /protection end to manually remove their own new-player protection early.
Overwrite Protections No more accidental data loss! Added a 60-second private chat confirmation for:
