Ovation
Ovation runs viewer polls that trigger real in-game events. Your viewers vote on what happens next, the plugin picks the winner automatically, and the outcome plays out live on stream. A built-in overlay exporter also writes plain text files an OBS source can read.
Built for: Streaming and content-creator servers that want viewers to shape what happens live.
How a poll works
Four event types, ready out of the box
Toggle events from a GUI
/ovation gui opens an admin panel with one icon per event. Click an icon to turn it on or off for future polls, no config editing needed. The change saves straight to config.yml.
Live OBS overlay
Ovation writes plain text files (poll question, tally, leader, time left, stream objective, top killer, online count) to plugins/Ovation/overlay, refreshed every 3 seconds by default. Point an OBS Text (GDI+) source at a file with "Read from file" on and it updates live while you play. Set what your stream is doing with /ovation objective <text>, or force an immediate rewrite with /ovation overlay.
Kill and vote stats
Ovation tracks kills and votes per player and saves them to disk. /ovation stats shows your own kills and votes, and the overlay can show the server's top killer live.

Configuration
Poll duration, moderation delay, vote cooldown, start cooldown, reminder timing, vote-change, the default question, and up to nine options are all in config.yml, along with every event's own settings. The overlay's refresh rate, objective text, and file list are configurable too. All player-facing text is in messages.yml with full MiniMessage support. Run /ovation reload to apply changes without a restart.

How a poll works
- /ovation poll start opens a poll with up to nine options, each tied to an event.
- Viewers vote with /ovation vote <number>. One vote per poll by default, players can change their vote if you allow it in config.
- A poll stays open for 60 seconds by default (configurable), with an optional reminder broadcast before it closes.
- When it closes, the winning option is picked automatically (ties broken at random) and announced to everyone.
- A moderation delay, 5 seconds by default, gives staff a window to run /ovation poll cancel before the event fires.
Four event types, ready out of the box
- Buff: gives the streamer who started the poll timed potion effects. Ships with Speed, Regeneration, and Resistance.
- Challenge: spawns a set number of a chosen mob near every online player for a set duration, then removes every one automatically when the event ends or the server stops.
- Items: gives every online player a set of items. Ships as a golden apple, diamond, and cooked beef supply drop.
- Time: sets the world time and, optionally, the weather. Ships as a nightfall event.
