Bulwark
Bulwark adds cooperative wave defense events to your server. Players join an arena, then fight off waves of mobs that push toward a core the team has to keep alive. Points earned from kills and cleared waves get spent at a shop between waves. Survive every wave and the team wins.

Waves that get harder

Each wave spawns more mobs than the last, and mob health scales up with the wave number, so the fight never goes stale. Every few waves a boss mob joins in, tougher and worth more points. A boss bar tracks the core's health, the current wave, and how many enemies are left, and a title card announces each new wave.

The core
Any mob that gets close enough to the core chips away at its health. If the core drops to zero, the team loses. Keeping the core alive means spreading out to fight mobs before they reach it, or saving up points to repair it at the shop.

Spend points on a full heal, a core repair, potion effects like strength, speed, and regeneration, or extra gear like arrows and an iron sword. Every shop entry is configurable, so owners can add, remove, or reprice items freely.

Stats and leaderboard

Games played, wins, best wave reached, and kills are tracked per player and saved across restarts. Check your own record with /bulwark stats or see who is on top with /bulwark top.

Build arenas without leaving the game
Set a lobby, a core, and as many mob spawn points as the arena needs, all from in-game commands. Run as many arenas as the server needs, each running its own game.

Commands
  • /bulwark help - list the commands.
  • /bulwark join [arena], leave - join an arena or an open game, or leave your current game.
  • /bulwark list - list all arenas and their status.
  • /bulwark shop - open the shop, while in a game.
  • /bulwark stats - view your own record.
  • /bulwark top - view the top 10 leaderboard.
  • /bulwark start <arena>, stop <arena> - force start or stop a game.
  • /bulwark reload - reload the config and messages.
  • /bulwark arena create <name> - create an arena.
  • /bulwark arena setlobby|setcore|addspawn|clearspawns <name> - set up an arena at your location.
  • /bulwark arena setplayers <name> <min> <max> - set player limits.
  • /bulwark arena info|list <name> - check an arena's setup and status.
  • /bulwark arena delete <name> confirm - delete an arena.

Permissions
  • bulwark.use - join games and use player-facing commands. Default: everyone.
  • bulwark.admin - build arenas, force start or stop games, and reload. Default: operators.

Placeholders
  • %bulwark_wins%, %bulwark_kills%, %bulwark_games%, %bulwark_best_wave% - a player's lifetime record.
  • %bulwark_in_game%, %bulwark_arena%, %bulwark_wave%, %bulwark_points% - a player's current game status.

Requirements
  • Minecraft 1.21 to 26.1.2.
  • Paper, Spigot, or Bukkit.
  • Java 21.
  • PlaceholderAPI is optional, for placeholders.

Installation
  1. Drop Bulwark-1.0.0.jar into your plugins folder.
  2. Start the server once to generate the config.
  3. Build an arena with /bulwark arena, then edit config.yml to taste and run /bulwark reload.
