Hi! I’m currently using your Team Selection + Deployment Menu system, and I’m running into an issue where players cannot spawn after selecting a team.
Here’s what’s happening:
The client fires teamChangeRequest correctly and sends the selected team (teamOne, teamTwo, teamThree, teamFour).
The server receives the request and sets the player’s team normally.
However, when the player presses “Deploy,” nothing happens — LoadCharacter() never fires because the player is still detected as being on the default team.
In the documentation, it mentions using teamZero as a default team, but my game uses four teams only, and it seems the system still expects teamZero even after replacing everything with teamOne–teamFour.
My questions are:
Does your system REQUIRE teamZero to exist as a default team?
If not, what is the correct way to disable or remove teamZero so players can spawn normally after choosing one of the four teams?
Is there any additional configuration needed in the server script so that the selected team is not overwritten when the player joins?
Are there any parts of the UI or scripts that MUST reference teamZero for the Deploy button to work properly?
Here is my current behavior:
Team selection UI works
Buttons fire correctly
Server receives the team
Deploy button presses do nothing, as if the player never selected a team
I would really appreciate your guidance on what I might be missing.
Very decent UI, especially for the price. The design is very clean and comes with tween animations. However, there are a few limitations. Biggest problem is that UI frames are hard-coded (like number of teams) and those frames are not in a scrolling frame. When you customize them, you really have to know what you're doing. Other than that, pretty good place to start.
