This plugin has a great concept. Some improvements could be made, such as a multiplayer gamemode or allowing players to serve any villager NPC instead of their assigned customers.
From a setup point, this is a little annoying, as it's confusing for players to understand who to serve, unless you create separate maps for each player.
For example; we created one map and copy and pasted it for the number of users we wanted to play. We then had to setup spawn points, fridge, oven and pantry for each map. This made it easier for the player to understand who to serve as it is only them in the map.
The NPC pathfinding is quite unstable too. We had to create a map with this in mind as they would often get stuck and be unable to path-find to their location. (However, It was mentioned to me in the discord that this is due to paper/bukkit and not the plugin)
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this plugin to anyone running a large server. Other than that, once you understand how to set it up it is a really fun minigame!
Separating maps is the intended and only way to use the plugin (it shouldn't be played in any other way) - it can be seen on any video from this minigame from the times when it was available on HiveMC. Maybe I should have emphasized it on the arena setup page of the wiki, I wrongly assumed it was obvious. As you said, pathfinding is rather clunky, mostly due to the fact that it's not a feature that can be altered using the Spigot API and requires thinkering with the NMS code. The plugin configuration process might seem complicated, but this is due to the characteristics of the game - because technically it's much more complicated than for example sky wars, it requires setting up more things than just players' spawns.
