SmokerTrashcan adds a dedicated Trashcan block that looks and behaves like a Smoker, but only exists as your custom item—normal smokers on your server stay completely vanilla.
Players need fuel (vanilla-accurate burn times). Items in the input are destroyed at a configurable rate. Upgrades increase trash speed only; fuel burn stays vanilla-true. Hoppers work like a normal furnace/smoker for automation. No crafting—distribution is OP-controlled via command.
Features
A: No. It’s a Paper plugin for your server.
Q: Does it replace all smokers?
A: No. Only blocks placed from the Trashcan item are affected.
Q: Can players craft it?
A: No—by design. You distribute it with /smokertrashcan give.
Q: Do upgrades need an economy plugin?
A: Upgrades need Vault + an economy implementation. Without them, upgrades can be disabled or you handle levels another way (config only).

Features
- Custom Trashcan item — smoker appearance; clearly labeled in inventory (level + speed on hover).
- Custom burner GUI — input, fuel, live status (burn state, fuel time, progress), and in-GUI upgrades.
- Vanilla-aligned fuel — uses the server’s furnace fuel data where possible, with a safe fallback.
- Configurable levels — unlimited levels via config.yml: speed multiplier (%-style) and upgrade cost per level.
- Vault economy — optional; upgrades charge the player if Vault + an economy provider are present.
- Persistence — trashcan identity and level survive restarts, break/place, and drops.
- Hopper-friendly — automate fuel and trash like a smoker; output stays empty.
- QoL — right-click with hopper in main hand, or sneak + placeable block, attaches blocks without opening the GUI.
- Hot config reload — edit config.yml and reload without full restart (/smokertrashcan reload).
- Lightweight processing — only tracks placed trashcans (no full-world tile scan every tick).
- /smokertrashcan give <player> — give the Trashcan item (permission required).
- /give <player> smokertrashcan — optional alias (same permission intent as your setup).
- /smokertrashcan reload — reload configuration.
- smokertrashcan.give — give command / alias (default: OP).
- smokertrashcan.reload — reload (default: OP).
- Paper (or compatible fork) for Minecraft 1.21.x (plugin targets API 1.21).
- Java 21 server runtime (matches project build).
- Vault + economy plugin — optional; required only if you want paid upgrades.
- Purchase and download the .jar.
- Place it in your server’s plugins folder.
- Start or restart the server.
- Edit plugins/SmokerTrashcan/config.yml to tune speeds, levels, and costs.
- Use /smokertrashcan reload after changes (or restart).
- Please include server version (e.g. Paper build), Java version, and list of plugins that touch furnaces/smokers/hoppers if you report a conflict.
- Refunds follow BuiltByBit’s rules
- This is a server plugin; players use the vanilla client.
- Compatibility with other plugins that override smoker/furnace/hopper behavior can vary; the plugin is designed to isolate trashcan logic where possible.
“What you get” (deliverables)
- SmokerTrashcan plugin .jar
- Default config.yml generated on first run (levels, speeds, tick interval).
