Great plugin for servers who have staff and need them to watch players, great support and it has all the features you need. Perfect and definitely worth it.

Expectations absolutely destroyed.
I really needed a staff plugin, and Alex absolutely nailed it.
Staffmode, breadcrumbs (which was NOT on my list), roster, basically anything you needed for staff duties is right there. I am DEFINITELY coming back.

The plugin is genuinely useful and offers some great features, but there are a few major drawbacks that can’t be ignored.

The biggest issue is the license system. If the license server goes down, your own server is basically crippled. Core commands like "/ban" and "/vanish" stop working, even if you have alternatives like Essentials installed. That’s a serious reliability concern.

Another downside is that validating the license requires a full server restart. For larger servers, especially those without frequent restarts, this becomes extremely inconvenient and disruptive.

Because of this, I’d only recommend this plugin to smaller servers or those without strict uptime requirements. If you run a large server with scheduled weekly restarts or need consistent stability, this can quickly become frustrating.

At the end of the day, server owners are paying to use the plugin, not to deal with DRM related interruptions. If the DRM system were removed or improved, this would easily be a 5-star plugin.

Thank you for the honest and detailed review. I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to explain your concerns.

You were absolutely right to raise the licensing issue. The outage was caused by an external provider used for license tracking, and unfortunately it occurred while I was asleep. Since then, I have already patched the system so that a licensing outage can no longer cause the plugin to become disabled. If the licensing service goes down in future, your server and the product itself will continue to function normally.

Regarding commands like /ban and /vanish, StaffSuite is designed to replace those with its own more advanced implementations. For vanish, this can be configured to use Essentials or another provider if preferred. For punishment-related commands such as banning, those are intentionally handled through StaffSuite’s own system to provide the functionality the plugin is built around.

I completely understand your point about DRM and uptime requirements, especially for larger servers. For networks or larger servers with stricter uptime expectations, I also offer alternative licensing arrangements on request.

StaffSuite has some amazing features that worked better than expected. I couldn't have asked for more in a staff plugin. Alex takes his support seriously, and handles it professionally.

Superior quality staff plugin with exceptional support by the dev - Alex. He helped me fix several issues I was having today, and he also made me a custom build, which fixed an issue I was having with another vanish plugin.

Alex helped me get the plugin to work and did an amazing job by helping me figure out that Spigot didn't include any adventure components and how that was the problem. He recommended me to switch to Paper, which fixed the issue immediately.

5/5 is an easy decision worked perfectly after setup, The creator Alex(Goose) even updated a feature to work on my custom built server. Excellent plugin design even better customer service.

Any issues I've had, the author has quickly recognize the inconvenience they've caused, and addressed them.

I highly recommend this plugin to help manage stuff duties.

I’d like to highlight a very positive interaction. At first, I was frustrated and upset, but after an exceptionally fast response and resolution, that frustration and initial distrust shifted into trust and understanding. His replies were detailed, clear, and extremely quick. So far, this has been the best support experience I’ve had on BuiltByBit.
