Dependencies & Compatibility

TextEffect is designed to work as a standalone plugin, with optional hooks for popular server plugins.

Required:

✔ Java 21
✔ Spigot, Paper or Purpur
✔ Minecraft 1.21 – 1.21.11

TextEffect generates and uses its own resource pack for shader-powered animated text effects.

🔌 Optional Integrations:

These plugins are not required, but TextEffect can hook into them when installed:

LuckPerms
Use animated prefixes and suffixes in chat.

DecentHolograms
Create animated hologram lines using TextEffect commands.

PlaceholderAPI
Useful for servers that want placeholder-based text in supported areas.

🧩 Developer API:

TextEffect includes a public API for developers and addon creators.
