I talked to Mick in SB and he said I could make this post, even though it would most likely not be accepted.

As you most likely know, Mick and MCM recently bought out the #2 MC Marketplace named MCSell.. A lot of members there were only there because you could buy and sell alts there (I build a whole business off it, and the sale really hurt) I think we should add back the sale of minecraft accounts that aren't OG.

Now I know there was reasons for the removal, such as they may be taken back or removed by the original owner and a false scam report is opened, or they could lie and say it was taken back while they took it back. I myself understand these concerns as I too have been scammed by many alt sellers (Super Alts and more).

Many of these concerns have a fairly simple fix, and I intend to give my best ideas for this. Number 1, non-full access'es (NFA) are known for their short term lifespan, the best fix to stopping issues with this is: The user who sells the Alt may or may not provide a warranty, if they do not provide a warranty then they have no obligations to refund accounts or money, and a scam report can NOT be made. While if the user has a warranty then they must refund the alts or replace them as long as it's within the warranty. Semi-full access and full access both can be "disputed" and the account taken away, Minecraft Market should simply state that there is no protection unless the user can prove that the account did not work on purchase, and if the seller can prove it did (IE, screenshot or video before sending of it working) then the scam report would be voided and so would any Minecraft Market related warranty. All scam reports for FA and SFA must be made within an hour of the purchase. Generally the rules for the replacements and refunds of alts will be made by the seller and made public, and only of they don't follow those rules is a scam report a viable option.

Minecraft alts has made a lot of my friends thousands of dollars, and provides many people with accounts. This is a huge market in minecraft and MCM is really missing out on it. I understand there are complications but it was a major selling point of MCSell and if you really want the bulk of the people to come over, you should re-allow the selling of alts.

If you have any other concerns that I did not cover, please make a reply and I will try and come up with a solution.
I left MCM to MCSell because of the fact that MCSell allowed me to buy and sell alts, I use alts to stress test servers, and my own fun sometimes. They can also be used for good, like my staff members who are a respected admin+ and have full permissions and would like to play, or they are used by people to test their staff. Anything can be used for good and bad, and everything can be scammed or legit. I personally hope you add back the selling of alts as it is a major selling point. I also talked to Ex-Admin BadNode and anyone concerned Mojang may threaten MC-Market for selling alts can be releaved. After talking to BadNode he told me they never once were asked by mojang to remove them.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you take this into consideration,
Much support, Alontrle.

Edit:
Thanks to Hefty for the idea, we could limit it to supreme users, or really high reputation users.

Love how the people who disagreed are 80% regulars on MC-Market.

For those who didn't know, MCSell was grown because of MCSell and would bring revenue to MCM if they did this.
It would bring a bit of revenue. It would also bring down the cancer plagues on this site[DOUBLEPOST=1497450292][/DOUBLEPOST]
All those og accounts are his you know, he brute forces into the account and og emails and then secures then and sell them. If you need proof Glove used to be part of ETB which specifically jacked accounts
Im not the one evaluating it.

Im just saying if they don't allow thid they aught to stop Glove selling OG accounts
I definitely agree with that, however Im curious why it has not been done yet. I personally think they might think there's lack of evidence from the PoV of staff, or nobody bothered to report it.

As for alts, name me 1 legit service that has never scammed someone and has never stolen anyone's account.

PlanetAlts, ask the owner yourself. He is open for 2 or 3 years.
congratulations, a single legit one. Good thing, I guess.
If only it was at all practical to let just one person/company/service sell it on the site, and ban all the others. Unfortunately, that'll have people rioting about it being 'unfair'.

I don't see a issue with this as long as people know there is a chance some of the accounts will stop working. Think about it like a 10 minute email for most of them. You can use it like 1 time or for a little while, then it is gone. But if they are like 2 cents each, I don't see a issue. As long as people know this then it should be fine.

We don't allow the sale of items you don't own.

Why should we allow people to sell access to other peoples minecraft accounts which they don't own? The passwords always get reset and then scam reports made and it's all a huge mess.

As I've stated many times: I'd rather not have every other thread be titled "xALTS - CHEAPEST - MOST REPUTABLE - 2 CENTS EACH"

I read it, but what I'm saying is that it would make us look like an extremely shady forum and would cause people to think they can sell other accounts from combolists like netflix/spotify/whatever. The main concern isn't scamming, it's the whole blackhat aspect to it.

EDIT: To alt sellers spamming disagree: Rate all you want but lol, it's not being added back. MCSell is gone for good.

When Mick bought MCSell, it was so MCM would gain more popularity But a lot of the people from MCS just went to sell alts or buy alts. If you don't allow it here, you are missing a huge opportunity.

Plus, why don't you just listen to the majority of the community and add it back?

It was actually to take down our only true competitor. If people want to sell access to other peoples accounts, they may do so elsewhere.

If you don't allow it here, you are missing a huge opportunity.

We're fine upholding our ToS by not allowing people to sell things they don't own.

Plus, why don't you just listen to the majority of the community and add it back?

Displaced MCSell users are not our "community". They're upset that their forum is gone so they want to turn MCM into MCSell, but that's not going to happen. They're going to have to abide by our rules as we're not going to change things to accommodate them and their shady sales.

And even if some of our actual users want it, so what? We're not going to implement something that completely goes against out ToS and what has always been the norm on here.

I think there should be a dedicated subforum for those who want it.

Make it a risk, let the user know (Similar to loans and investments) That when buying from anyone on that subforum, there is an implied risk that they make get nonworking accounts.

As for the whole "selling something you don't own." Well, ye I see that. If that's the true opinion of the community and upper staff then so be it, but I personally believe they should be allowed to be sold.

I kind of have to agree with Doge. But, since MCSell is now sold to MCM, kind of angering people, the best you can do is to implement this.

Maybe just allow the buying / selling of email access accounts? they would be very secure from a reputable dealer and could be changed into semi og's and resold on the site (once secured), thus creating more sales and opportunities for those interested in the OG / Semi OG market.
