I talked to Mick in SB and he said I could make this post, even though it would most likely not be accepted.

As you most likely know, Mick and MCM recently bought out the #2 MC Marketplace named MCSell.. A lot of members there were only there because you could buy and sell alts there (I build a whole business off it, and the sale really hurt) I think we should add back the sale of minecraft accounts that aren't OG.

Now I know there was reasons for the removal, such as they may be taken back or removed by the original owner and a false scam report is opened, or they could lie and say it was taken back while they took it back. I myself understand these concerns as I too have been scammed by many alt sellers (Super Alts and more).

Many of these concerns have a fairly simple fix, and I intend to give my best ideas for this. Number 1, non-full access'es (NFA) are known for their short term lifespan, the best fix to stopping issues with this is: The user who sells the Alt may or may not provide a warranty, if they do not provide a warranty then they have no obligations to refund accounts or money, and a scam report can NOT be made. While if the user has a warranty then they must refund the alts or replace them as long as it's within the warranty. Semi-full access and full access both can be "disputed" and the account taken away, Minecraft Market should simply state that there is no protection unless the user can prove that the account did not work on purchase, and if the seller can prove it did (IE, screenshot or video before sending of it working) then the scam report would be voided and so would any Minecraft Market related warranty. All scam reports for FA and SFA must be made within an hour of the purchase. Generally the rules for the replacements and refunds of alts will be made by the seller and made public, and only of they don't follow those rules is a scam report a viable option.

Minecraft alts has made a lot of my friends thousands of dollars, and provides many people with accounts. This is a huge market in minecraft and MCM is really missing out on it. I understand there are complications but it was a major selling point of MCSell and if you really want the bulk of the people to come over, you should re-allow the selling of alts.

If you have any other concerns that I did not cover, please make a reply and I will try and come up with a solution.
I left MCM to MCSell because of the fact that MCSell allowed me to buy and sell alts, I use alts to stress test servers, and my own fun sometimes. They can also be used for good, like my staff members who are a respected admin+ and have full permissions and would like to play, or they are used by people to test their staff. Anything can be used for good and bad, and everything can be scammed or legit. I personally hope you add back the selling of alts as it is a major selling point. I also talked to Ex-Admin BadNode and anyone concerned Mojang may threaten MC-Market for selling alts can be releaved. After talking to BadNode he told me they never once were asked by mojang to remove them.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you take this into consideration,
Much support, Alontrle.

Edit:
Thanks to Hefty for the idea, we could limit it to supreme users, or really high reputation users.

Alright, as someone who ran one of the most successful alt shops on MCSell, (being the most vouched and had ~$4500 in sales and ~750 unique orders) I think it would be difficult to work on MCM, but not impossible.

It, of course, would have to be extremely regulated. Heres what I would have in mind.
  1. A separate section for alt sales, however, you must have a rank, a certain amount of positive rep, and a certain amount of messages/posts to sell on there.
  2. Require a warranty to be put on all accounts, at the minimum of 3 hours, however for SFA accounts require the buyer to show proof that the account was not working at the time of purchase, and if the account is taken back by the original owner, have the buyer show proof of such (usually an email is sent, notifying them that it was taken back)
  3. Ban Email Access/Full access to be sold. These are extremely problematic, as they may work for some people, and not for others.
  4. Hire another scam resolver, honestly, this is already needed in my opinion, it takes a few days for reports to go through and a few days is all a scammer needs to exit scam.
I also understand that the forum would be considered a "blackhat forum" or whatnot, which is honestly, completely reasonable if MCM doesn't want to be portrayed as that.

I would be okay with selling full access accounts that our users fully own, maybe. But selling accounts you don't own and don't have full access to is totally pointless. How would you feel if someone had access to your account and was going around selling it? 9/10 people here would instantly change their info immediately. So why should we endorse that kind of business? Plus it isn't that huge of a thing. If you sell accounts for around a dollar, you can't be making thousands and thousands. The biggest issue with this is the amount of scam reports typically open would literally triple, meaning more work for M6Gaming, as well as more users complaining and getting scammed.

This site works fine as it is, we don't need to make changes to accommodate users from a different site. This suggestion is just not needed.

The problem with hiring another scam resolver is that, just like hiring another resource mod or general mod, 2 things are standing in our way.
1. Lack of fit members
2. lack of members with enough dedication to even make a dent in the productivity of the existing staff.

Compared to how quickly Justis handles resource submissions, how effectively m6 goes through reports or how many general issues Doge handles, most new staff members would have a hard time making a comparable contribution. the 3 I've named do the work that 3-4 ordinary mods would otherwise do. Take my word for it as ex-moderator.

Good point I guess, but maybe overtime, they would begin doing them quicker.

That's not how it works. When you're already doing the job of 3-4 people, it's pretty difficult to just gradually do even more.

he meant the new mods.
And while that's theoretically true, this would probably take around half a year to become in the least noticeable, and the lack of fitting and WILLING members is still the main problem.
Fitting in terms of both behaviour and activity eliminates the candidates down to a handful of candidates, and those then have to be willing to take the responsibility. A while ago we got a new chatmod, but that's about the extent it would go.

Ahh, I see what he meant now. But you do make a good point. It would still take some time.

I mean, There are some sites trying to replace MCS like Betayans MCP et cetera but they dont have the playerbase to do this with anywhere from 50-100 players it doesnt make much of a community to do stuff with

I'd honestly would accept this idea since i cannot find any more forums to buy Alts.
But i'd suggest making a new Website, or reviving MCSell since *MCMarket owns them now right?* So MCMarket should make a Sister Website just for Alts and any more cracked accounts.

Sounds dumb, but making it here would ruin this forums.
So instead of ruining this forum we just make a whole separate website to do what we already don't want done? #Logic

Then just revive MCSell to ruin it more. Since MCSell was open just to Sell Alts *Mostly.*
There's no point. It was removed because it was terrible and to get rid of competition.
