Gun Control - Yay or Nay?

So I've been seeing lots of debate regarding gun control in the United States. Currently, the 2nd Amendment to our constitution guarantees our right to keep and bear arms, but many say we should ban and take away guns.

Personally, I think you should be allowed to buy any gun you want, so long as you can pass a criminal/terrorist background check. Even the AR-15 (semi-automatic). I think that if we give up our right to bear arms, we essentially become slaves to the government, since they have the ability to kill us, and we have no way to fight back.

It's seen that the cities with the most guns have fewer shootings. The majority of the shootings in the US are from Chicago (where they banned guns!)

So every inhabitant of a country where the guns are not in free circulation are slaves? Come on, that not because you do not have a fking 357 magnum under your pillow that you become a slave or someone who can't even defend themselves.

tbh USA needs to get a grip.

Well, it looks like most of the shootings in the US come from cities that banned guns. If you look in the deep south (where nearly everyone has a gun and carrys it) there are very few shootings.

If anything there needs to be a proper license for having a gun and it has to be strict. So for the US they really need to get control of the situation.

The right to bear arms is an unalienable right. That means it is universal.

Outlawing guns would be the complete wrong thing to do. As Richest has said, if guns were banned them criminals would still have guns. There is no reason for guns to be disallowed.

That's why I said they shouldn't have started with everybody holding a gun.

Guns don't kill people. People do. Even if guns weren't allowed those people would still get guns. What's so hard to understand about that?
