Gun Control - Yay or Nay?

Extremely simple to understand. What I am trying to say is that they should've started a society/culture where guns for citizens wouldn't be too much of a need, making all members of that society to rid of guns. I understand that guns don't kill, people do. But guns make people much more easier to kill. Yet if guns were banned in the first place (and I mean a really long time ago), it would be much more harder to obtain one to kill with therefore lowering the chances of another mass shooting.

Yeah so the real solution is to go back in time and kill the guy who invented guns. It’s so simple, why have we never thought of this before?!

I think that Americans should be able to still purchase guns. However, the process of buying a weapon should be much more in depth, otherwise, (almost) anyone can purchase a gun. Some American gun stores do not even require a background check.

Also, I do not think anyone has a valid reason to own any fully-automatic weapons, except soldiers of course.

I think that if we give up our right to bear arms, we essentially become slaves to the government, since they have the ability to kill us, and we have no way to fight back.

There's basically never any shootings in New York the people with guns feel threatened you need to have a feeling to need a gun to have the desire to own one

California banned Assault Weapons, San Bernandino still occurred. Since the Boston Marathon Bombing occurred, should we ban pressure cookers?

I live in small suburban but mostly rural city named Ocoee/Winter Garden right outside of Orlando. Many people concealed carry, I don't have a problem with it. It makes me feel safer knowing that if an active shooter situation were to occur, there would be someone to stop it.

I think too many people are afraid to buy weapons. Not many people seem to want to make use of their 2nd Amendment. If there was someone Concealed Carrying at Pulse the incident would have been stopped almost immediately. There would also probably be only one casuality.

Completely agree, Australia, UK, China, France, etc don't have guns. So why do the US need them, even though anything made in China is basically made by slaves (because of the extremely low wages), yet they don't have them.

So you’re telling me if someone broke into your house and held a knife to your throat you’d be able to run? Or you’d rather run and let some low life criminal steal everything you’ve worked for rather than defend yourself? Yeah fuck that.

Oh so you condone knife violence but not gun violence? Guns are easier weapons to defend yourself with, which is why they are used. If you support self defense through knives I don’t see how you can not support easier methods of self defense.

Think about what happened in Aus a little bit ago: some police officers were trying to shoot some madman but in the process shot 3 women, whereas if they had a knife no old be hurt.

Lol yes it’s the gun’s fault that the policemen fucked up their jobs. How the fuck would police protect anyone with only knives? Criminals will get guns if they want guns. Gun control only hurts law abiding citizens.
