It isn't. There's no public cannon jar for that version, so it's basically unplayable.

That's what I am thinking. There are cannons that were working back from the older version but still some cannons are not working.

Pretty sure mechanics have changed, but I haven't touched 1.9+ properly.

Smurrffy I would recommend using 1.8.* as your server version and installing viaversion to allow other versions to join.
