Don't think you will get $600 on a 8,000k map... I get the quality is great but not many people have that budget.

8000 square blocks equals a area of 100x80 blocks and you expect 600$ for that?
Guys, we're talking about the most skilled terraformer currently on MCM.
His target audience is not servers with a budget of $20. His target is people who are willing to pay serious money for serious quality.
do any of you know how much time he invests into this level of quality? I doubt it.

a 2K fits into a 4K 4 times
A 1K fits into a 2K 4 times.
I can ask $20 for a 1K warzone made in worldpainter, and people think it a good price.
If I used that price on all my terrain, it'd be $1280 for an 8K map.
This is a level of quality that exceeds me easily. Guilds has twice my experience with worldpainter. He puts far more time into an 8k than almost any other terraformer, simply because it gives much more quality.

Yup, he might have good detail into making these maps and he might be one of the most skilled terraformers but these prices are exceeding by far.
Only 1 in a thousands of owners would buy the $600 doller map if they had that type of money just cause they're baller af. Anyways, MCM is full of people who only buy cheap and affordable & if you think these prices are worth the job then prove it to me and the people who think the same.
Plus, how would you make profit on your server if you're going to spend so much money? I mean as I said before if someone had that type of money sure why not.

I'm personal saying, I don't think no one on MCM would pay $600 for a map just cause majority of users wouldn't pay that much.

It's my personal opinion? I know for sure I couldn't make something amazing like that but did you not get what I tried to point out? Majority of users on MCM who would come to his services wouldn't buy a map for that amount of money.

If you buy a 6K RPG map of top quality for an RPG server, it's going to look 100x better than wynncraft assuming you get builds of matching quality.
Then you won't have to buy a new map for years on end.
I'll agree this isn't an economical solution to servers that refresh their maps monthly, but again, that's not the target audience here.
The target audience is servers with a playerbase of numerous hundreds, or people looking to build a playerbase like that.
maybe it's an RPG server that's looking to create a new, more awesome world after growing bigger?
Or maybe it's a hobbyist with an IRL job that's looking to make an awesome looking server for the fun of it?
Until very recently, people spent hundreds upon hundreds on CS:GO skins.
If you have a decent monthly income like an actual adult with a job, $600 really isn't that particularly much. It's something you don't just throw away, sure, but if having a minecraft server is your hobby, it's not crazy.
There's people that invest thousands into their hobbies.
My guess is that Guilds simply does not think cheaper prices worth his time, since he has another source of income and this is just a side project. If I make $20 per hour or more at work, I might not care as much to make a map for $5 per hour.
I know for a fact both GuildsMC and Lentebriesje, who asks even more per map, get clients regularly. Just not from this forum very often, because most people that come here have a budget of maybe a few hundred or so total.
Just in case there are some who might be clients, though, this thread exist.
And has existed for quite a while without anyone complaining, if in a slightly different shape.

Lets say 1 block² = 1 m²
1 a = 10000 m² = 10000 block² = 10000 SQUARE block
80 blocks * 100 blocks = 8000 blocks * blocks = 8000 blocks² =
you are talking about a area of 8000 blocks * 8000 blocks which is 64000000 blocks * blocks = 64000000 blocks² = 64000000 SQUARE blocks
EDIT: After several guys rated my posts as funny and therefore as wrong i started a conversation with them to show them that im not wrong. (Neither are they).
The confusion was caused by the 8000 blocks² which i interpreted as a area of 100 blocks * 80 * blocks (which is mathematically correct) but it seems like that people on McM interprete it as a area of 8000x8000 blocks² (which is not correct).
If someone still cant understand that or rates my posts as funny and therfore as wrong then i can invite you in the conversation.

That is a ton of attention towards a server and brings in a ton of players!
My maps are also high quality and take much longer to make because of that.
This is a Custom service, each map i make takes a lot of hours between creating the resources i need and crafting the map.
The high prices reflect the quality and time spent in these maps.
i dont expect younger or financially struggling people to purchase my maps, there are plenty of cheaper lower quality map makers on McM.
My target clients are up and coming youtubers, larger servers, those who are looking to make a career out of their server in some way.
The maps more than pay for themselves over time for most of my clients in the past.
