ScuffedHolograms 1.1.0
Big update covering everything since 1.0.13, new features, optimizations (faster startup) and crispier images and holograms.
New: Particle Effect holograms
- Drop any vanilla or plugin particle as a standalone hologram. No text or model needed.
- Per-holo tuning: scale, tint (full color picker), yaw/pitch, view distance, respawn interval.
- Searchable particle dropdown, Burst-style particles tagged so you know which ones need a cycle.
Hologram import
- One-button import other hologram mods data. Brings over gradients, multi-line color text, images, and GIFs as native SH holograms.
Editor
- GUI rebuild with top + side navigation. Holograms, Combat Text, Settings tabs in the main menu. General, Effects, Triggers + Perms tabs per holo.
- Type-aware editor. Controls visible only when they apply.
- Visibility schedule. Per-holo time-of-day window, e.g. only visible 09:00 to 17:00.
- Multi-permission scope. Up to 6 permission nodes per holo, any-pass. Separate toggles for trigger gating and visibility gating.
- Per-permission trigger overrides. VIPs can fire different actions or get different rewards than regular players.
- Trigger cooldowns per holo, shared budget across interact and collision, collision box padding.
- TP-to-holo template now uses a runtime command. Moving the destination updates every portal pointing at it. No re-picking.
- Clickable BuiltByBit link in the About card.
Text rendering
- Pixel-perfect particle text. Fixed the pulsating grey/black outline that was a sampling artifact.
- Tighter Scuffed font spacing (1 pixel less between glyphs). Other fonts unchanged.
- Font dropdown with all bundled SH glyph fonts.
Particles, lighting, VFX
- Ambient light per holo with a color picker.
- Pre-baked grab assets at boot. No world freeze on the first grab.
Reliability
- reload hardened. No more multi-second cascade stall.
- Per-player join grace window so new clients finish loading before they receive particle spawns.
- AssetUpdate flood fast-path. Repeated reloads stay cheap.
- Holograms no longer get pruned on restart for transiently-missing worlds.
Commands
- /sch menu opens the GUI. Everything else lives here.
- /sch tool gives the Hologram Tool.
- /sch tptoholo runtime portal command, used by the TP-to-holo template.
Upgrade notes
- Existing hologram data loads fine. New fields fall back to safe defaults (perms off, schedule off, no marker).
- Bursty particles loop tighter now. If you actually wanted long dead-air between bursts, set the holo's Respawn Every field to your preferred value.
- Old SHPS_*.particlesystem cache files get superseded automatically. Old files orphan on disk and clean up on next data-pack rebuild.
