TradeSMP is a PvP progression system that gives every player a single Trade Level running from -3 to +3. Kill players in PvP and you climb, gaining stacking buffs the higher you go. Die and you drop, sliding into stacking penalties at the bottom. Reach the bottom and die again, and you're banned. It's a high-stakes ladder that rewards winners and punishes losers, and every number behind it is yours to tune.
- Everyone starts at level 0, with nothing active
- Kill a player and rise one level (max +3)
- Die and drop one level (min -3), any death by default, or PvP-only if you prefer
- Die again at -3 and you're banned (admins with the bypass permission are exempt)
- Positive levels stack every lower buff, negative levels stack every lower penalty
- Level +1: Hero of the Village II, and bread acts like a golden apple (Absorption II + Regeneration II) when eaten below full hunger
- Level +2: Hero of the Village IV, and hitting the same player 10 times with an emerald block in hand strikes them with lightning for 4 hearts
- Level +3: Hero of the Village VI, Resistance I for 30s after a totem pops, and access to
/tradesmp locate village
The +2 lightning strike, 10 hits with an emerald block:
Bread healing like a golden apple, longer at +3 than +2:
- Level -1: villager prices +25%, and Slowness for 10s after eating golden apples
- Level -2: villager prices +50%, and Slowness for 20s after golden apples
- Level -3: villager prices +100%, Slowness and Weakness after golden apples, and your next death is a ban
Golden apples turn against you, the penalty grows each level down:
-1 (Slowness):
-2 (longer Slowness):
-3 (Slowness + Weakness):

Top-level players unlock
/tradesmp locate village, a built-in locator that points to the nearest village on a cooldown. It's gated on your stored Trade Level rather than the vanilla /locate command, so access is tied cleanly to your rank and can't be spoofed through vanilla permission levels.Locating the nearest village at level +3
