Merry Christmas to those celebrate it!
Apologies for any lack of pictures etc... Since I am a new user I can not post any form of media.
Just before I dive into the server here is a little information about me -
My name is FantaPhantom and I am a server owner who is somewhat new to the scene. I started my journey as a server owner just about a year ago. Back then I was an Event Manager and creator for the Discord bot known as BoxBot. Being an Event Manager for the bot I was deeply tied with the community and I interacted with members daily. I noticed an extremely high request for a Minecraft server. This gave me an opportunity that I am proud to have taken to this day.
So I began on my first public Minecraft server ever. With the help of me and 3 other staff members we managed to finish the server in 3 months. At this time the server was a Towny server. After release we continued to update the server as much as we could, but I always noticed a clear lack in staff. Although my current staff members were easy to work with, they could only take on so much before getting exhausted like me. Unfortunately the server had to shut down due to a crisis going on with our server host, Slothhost. For those who are unfamiliar with what happened, the Owner of Slothhost had suddenly disappeared one day and never paid the cost to keep the host to running. Therefore, our server had to be shut down. Since then we have promised that our server would rerelease to our 300 member Discord Server (which has mainly gone dormant due to no progress being started yet).
Now that it is Winter Break me and my staff team hope to get back on our feet and back on the grind. Our plans for the server are to launch the Factions gamemode first. Our Factions spawn is already complete and now we are beginning work on plugins. Once the server is complete we wish to release it under a Beta/Testing title. If all goes well we will move onto official release
Here is what I expect from new staff members -
- Laid back and chill attitude. We are technically still a new server so our staff and community is casual. Although professional habits are expected out of staff, I don't expect too much. This is only the beginning of the server
- Intermediate knowledge in plugin configuration and server configuration
- High communication skills with our mostly small community and staff. Its good to familiarize yourself
- Most importantly, the ability to be proactive. I do not expect this in the first week of being staff but I surely do after. I love it when my staff get up by themselves to work on the server or to assist me.
- For age requirements I expect staff to be older than 13 at least. High Schoolers to young adults would best fit the age requirements. I am currently in High School so other High Schoolers on my staff team would be neat. You must be able to speak English as well
- A Discord Account
What positions do I need? -
As of right now we need:
- Around 2 admins
- A Developer will most likely be needed as well
Developers will obviously be needed for plugin requests while the Admins will be assisting in server setup of plugins through FTP, therefore Admins will be around me a LOT. I do not need any moderators ATM as we only have Discord server rules, and those are being handled in a lenient manner ATM.
