Hey Everyone,

We’re building a community-first Vanilla+ SMP: a persistent survival server with a strict no-P2W, light enhancements, and creator-driven community events. This isn’t a “hire someone to do tasks” role — we’re looking for a true partner who shares the vision and wants to help lead the server as it grows.

What you’d be joining

  • Java-first Vanilla+ SMP
  • Long-term world with grief prevention / claims so builds are safe
  • Fair monetization (cosmetics + non-gameplay perks only; community trust is the brand)
  • Light “+” enhancements (skills/economy/player shops, seasonal flavor, co-op events)
  • Creator-forward culture: 5–10 smaller streamers as real community members, not “ads”
  • Warm, well-moderated Discord with clear standards and consistent events
  • “Lore-light” narrative for seasonal moments (opt-in, doesn’t override vanilla)

The role

You’ll act as the Operations Lead / Co-Owner: owning day-to-day operations and helping drive the community, product direction, and growth alongside me.

Key responsibilities

Community & Discord
  • Run Discord operations: structure, roles, onboarding, announcements, safety, and culture
  • Manage a mod + staff team (scheduling, expectations, escalation paths)
  • Set and enforce community standards with a focus on being fair, consistent, and calm

Events & Retention
  • Run weekly events (build comps, scavenger hunts, co-op encounters, community projects)
  • Build “sticky” loops: town projects, showcases, player spotlights, and long-term goals
  • Create community rituals (e.g., Build of the Week, Monthly Community Vote)

Growth & Creators
  • Help land and support content creators
  • Manage partnerships and content moments (TikTok/Shorts-friendly clips, event collabs)
  • Build feedback loops that turn happy players into voters/reviewers/advocates

What we’re looking for

  • You genuinely enjoy building community — not just “running a server”
  • Calm under pressure; you can mediate conflict without escalating it
  • You’re organized: you like checklists, schedules, roles, and clear operating rhythms
  • Good taste: you understand Vanilla+ and can say “no” to bloat/feature creep
  • Comfortable working with plugins/configs and coordinating with technical contributors
  • Growth-minded, but not exploitative — you care about trust and longevity
