ChatControl - Format & Filter Chat v12.1.5

I've used this plugin for a year now and I love it. Very powerful and highly configurable. On the one occasion I needed to reach out for support the dev was incredibly fast and helpful.

It is a good plugin and handles managing chat very well. The level of customization provided is very good. However, some of the configuration is confusing and the documentation is poorly worded in some places so you'll have to play around with it. Once you figure it out it works very well. I cannot comment on how it performs on large servers as mine was very small.

That being said, I did receive this plugin for free and would not pay the asked price for it (it costs almost as much as my server during a 3 month period). Before it was given to me I had built it from source, although the latest version is no longer open source for the time being.

I give it four stars because it does what is expected and more in many places, as well as customizability. One point deducted for the price as well as the confusing at times documentation (minor annoyance).

We recently hit our record milestone (over 3,000 players) and VelocityControl with ChatControl worked perfectly!! I don't know what the problem the reviewer below had but we're extremely happy.

Hands down the BEST chat plugin on the market. The level of detail in the config is absurd, the docs are easy to navigate, the dev is quick to answer any questions and many of the features we suggested over the years were added quickly

I tried many plugins over years, nothing comes close to ChatControl. I recommend this plugin, it's awesome!

Based on my experience so far, this plugin is pretty good compared to other chat management plugins. I’m quite satisfied with it, especially since the chat filter is equipped with modern tools.

Absolutely love this plugin, Been using it for years and i couldn't see myself using any other plugin that manages my chat. I have it working together with a bunch of other plugins on the server and it works flawlessly. Absolutely amazing. Thanks for coming back!

On a side note. Every single time i've had an issue, i've always reported it to their github and the support has almost always been instant give or take a day or two at rare occasions and the problem has always 100% of the times been resolved. The support is nothing less than incredible and i am so thankful for that.

5 star plugin. Awaiting 21.8 support, but they're usually very quick to update so not too concerned.

Honestly an overall solid plugin, recently the developer has stated he is very busy and when I opened a ticket about the filter function not working with "before replace" it was closed as he said he doesnt have time to fix it. After pushing further he said if he has time and then said he's hired a dev to take over. Im still waiting 2 weeks after that and I'm not very happy as my auto punishments triggered on my players due to this bug.

It needs fixed, and im tired of asking.

Been using Chatcontrol for a few years now, it works really well if you know how to configure it correctly. The formatting possibilities are pretty much endless.

This is the best chat plugin of all existing ones, customization, lots of customization, you can create any formats, also if you understand how to write your own chat bots or games in Java script The support team is "shaking" for the plugin, and that's good:) all the problems are solved, it's clear that the plugin is made with soul, I've been using it for three years now and I don't regret a penny spent

Don't often return to provide update reviews but there has been a major change from V10 to V11.
This plugin is excellent, it is stable and it provides good compatability with other plugins that need to hook into the server chat. I have also had more time to get to grips with the plugin better since my last review and can say as this as you learn how the plugin and get your head around it more you realise how powerful chat control is.
I am a bit OCD with keeping chat looking clean and not cluttered with loads of junk and this plugin really helps with that. All that junk other servers have in chat can be put neatly into hover components for different elements of the chat for players to view when they want it.
Very powerful plugin and worth the price tag.

The plugin is very good and multifunctional. At first, of course, it was quite challenging to set everything up, as it wasn't clear. Now everything has fallen into place. Good luck to you.

Excellent plugin! Plugin was excellent even before CHC 11, but now its even more exiting! You deserve every win you have achieved!

I've been using the original ChatControl for years and decided to say screw it and purchase this plugin. This was one of the best decisions I have made as a server developer as this has allowed me to replace the functionality of several plugins and has simplified the server creation process heavily. Keep up the amazing work!

This plugin is just amazing. I've been using it for over 3 years now, and it does such a great job! All the features work great, and there's so much you can do with it! There is a bit of a learning curve just because of how much you can do with it, but kangarko has done a great job documenting everything you need to know to use ChatControl to its full potential. The plugin has also recently been rewritten to include Adventure and MiniMessage support, among many other cool features! What you are getting is a plugin made by a developer with over 10 years of Java experience, which has been battle-tested by hundreds of server owners to give you the best experience possible. This plugin is now a must-have for me, and I would highly recommend it to any server owner who wants to take their chat to the next level.
