WHAT'S NEW​

Lock the Plugin Behind a Permission
Want ElytraTrails to be a donor perk? Now you can. Grant elytratrails.use to your supporters and everyone else sees nothing - no XP gain, no particles, no GUI access, and placeholders return N/A. One permission controls everything.

How to set it up:

• /lp group donor permission set elytratrails.use true
• Default players without the permission are completely excluded from the plugin

XP No Longer Resets
Unlocking a trail used to reset your XP to zero. That meant it was mathematically impossible to reach Dragon Breath (12,000 XP) because every intermediate unlock wiped your progress. Now XP accumulates continuously. Fly for 12,000 seconds total and you unlock everything - no wasted effort.

PlaceholderAPI Privacy
Players without elytratrails.use return N/A for all 16 placeholders. Scoreboards and tab lists won't show misleading data for players who don't have the perk.

PERFORMANCE AND STABILITY​

• Permission checks cached per session - no longer run 2,000 times per second
• YAML data saves properly synchronized - prevents data loss on server crash
• MySQL fallback no longer loops - correctly switches to YAML when database is unreachable
• Removed Java AWT dependency - runs on any server JRE, not just desktop Java
• All player caches fully cleaned on quit - zero memory leaks over weeks of uptime
• Tick task protected - one broken preset won't crash the loop for everyone online

BUG FIXES​

• Previous Page button in GUI now shows the correct page number
• Broken perk effect names in config now produce a warning instead of failing silently
• All 21 presets now have proper permission nodes in plugin.yml
• All 21 presets now have economy cost entries in config.yml
• PlayerChangedWorldEvent handler refreshes permission cache on world switch

MIGRATION FROM v1.0.0​

Replace the JAR file and restart. That's it. Your config.yml, language files, and all player data are automatically updated with any new keys - nothing gets overwritten. MySQL users don't need to change anything.

If you use ElytraTrails as a free-for-all, nothing changes - everything works as before.
If you want it as a donor perk, just grant elytratrails.use to your supporter rank.
