Redistribution rights

While rights are a complex concept and difficult to understand for many who are only just beginning to dip their toes into business, respecting the rights of one’s peers is arguably the most important responsibility of any marketplace member. We have our own expectations as well, so it's important to outline what responsibilities we expect to be uphold when using our platform, particularly the resource system.

Note that the following policies also apply fully to forks. Even if the fork no longer contains any of the original product's content. Forking a product is a decision that will stay with how your product is regarded for as long as it exists. Also note that reverse engineering content for redistribution for any purpose other than interoperability, (such as an exact recreation) is expressly prohibited, and treated no different than duplicating the content directly.

Redistribution Policies​

You may not redistribute paid/premium content, or content which has not been released the rightful owner for free and public use, without explicit permission from the owner of that content.

You may not redistribute free content which is also made available through official paid channels, without explicit permission from the owner of that content.

You may not redistribute free content which has redistribution rights revoked by the owner of that content.

You may not claim or imply ownership of content which you are redistributing, even where redistribution is permitted.

Free content with paid channels​

To support content creators, we want to encourage that end users of free content with paid channels consider making a purchase from the creator. As such, we ask that our authors refrain from including these dependencies within their resources. This policy applies to all free content with paid channels, but for convenience, a non-exhaustive list of common products which this policy applies to is provided:

If you'd like to grant or revoke redistribution rights over your content and have those specifics mentioned here, please create a support ticket. You will be responsible for informing us of further changes to the provided rights.
